A large hammer or gaffer tape?

Apparently it is wisest to get a complete dish and matching quad lnb when working with Sky offset dishes. The designs keep changing subtly. If the dish is not an oval offset design then a Sky lnb is useless for it. Often they supply adapters with the lnb to suit older Sky dish designs.

People will need to know what dish (brand/model/size) you have and what lnb (brand/model) you have bought to give more accurate advice.

Yes, there are various dish designs, and various LNB types - adaptors are available for 'some' combinations, but not for all.

A couple of years Sky systems were supplied to us for fitting from the distributors with LNB's that wouldn't fit the dishes they came with - these were bpought as complete systems, yet the distributors wanted us to pay extra for adaptors to make them complete! - WHAT!!

Thanks, Gents, The dish is oval but quite 8 years plus. I think I could cut the plastic to make a tongue to fit .But I will chase the supplier for an adaptor first.

Thanks, sent away for the new adaptor to fit to the legacy dish, and it is all working - programmes have't improved though!. I dropped the plastic screwy inny thing into the bushes below, is it important?

Does any one want the other LNB Adaptor? I have not taken thy screwy inny thing off it, but if antone wants it without the screwy in thing it would be great. That's post or pick up for free of course.
