I didn't know most of them either.

I was at this:

And speaking of reckless and pointless, I’m struggling to understand why Dancing On Ice butchered the show’s judging panel by replacing the must-see, must-hear Jason Gardiner with Katarina Witt and Louie Spence (henceforth, Kat Witt & Half Wit).
I'm glad they have Katarina instead of Emma, I'll wait to see if I prefer Louie to Jason (at the moment it seems odd without him)

"must-see, must-hear"? I think the grammar checker missed out "not" twice.

If Ian Hyland is struggling to understand it, perhaps he should refrain from watching it and stick with CBB and XF which he may not find too intellectually challenging.

So Ian Hyland can't understand why a top level skater would be better placed to judge a skating competition than a pop singer or a viciously mouthed dancer? hmmmm

Have to say I agree with him about what passes as a celebrity these days though

There is an irony that any writer for the Mail could complain about the quality of celebs on any tv show. They fill their rag with pointless stories of WAGs looking fat/thin, or trying to create celebrities out of the Karshadians, and many more who have no actual reason to be on tv in the first place.

While some of this lot aren't very high profile, and hadn't previously been subject to scorn of a Mail exposee on them leaving the house without make-up, doesn't mean they aren't working in showbiz. They love to write stories about a non-celebs like Elen Rivas, but most DOI fans agreed she was a low-point in their casting process.

Maybe Chemmy can get a boob job, and then go and do an interview about it for them, just to justify why a top sports-woman is allowed on the tv.

The jury is out on the Jason/Louie debate. They both have similar qualifications, and it's down to personal preference at this point. However, it's so blatently obvious that Katerina Witt is a brilliant addition to the panel and a vast improvement on Emma Bunton. Not in Daily Mail land. Baby Spice is "more famous" and so a better celeb. In Daily Mail logic, being good at something is not a reason for people to want to see you on tv.
