Those things are cute and that's funny, but that doesn't escape the fact that these animals ran in a lot of fear. I've laughed at fear before, even my own fear, but it's not a benign issue.

Pictures of cats being on and enjoying a device that they understand is very different, like humans and cars, where you wouldn't intentionally drive fast at a person and laugh at their fear. I guess it proves that the vacuum noise doesn't blast out their eardrums, that's all.

Many watching the video recording referred to above will take the view that the kittens ran off not out of fear of the vacuum cleaner - but out of concern that one of them had just done something naughty in turning it on. I am sure it is not the first time that they have heard the vacuum cleaner on - they must have seen and heard it used many times.

The kittens in the first two video links included in my last posting to this thread are clearly enjoying themselves riding on the vacuum cleaners.

My cat as a kitten showed no fear of the vacuum cleaner. Indeed, she was completely indifferent to it.
