My pup is 9 months old and she went into season in October the week before we were due to have her spayed. The vet said we had to wait until January before she could be spayed again. She was due to get spayed this coming friday but for the past week her vulva has swollen and there is the odd spot of blood every so often, and she's forever licking down there. Can she really be back in season so soon after 3 months?

Sounds rather like it. Have you contacted your vet?

One of our late doglets went into season roughly every 6 weeks from the age of 6 months, in the end the vet had to do the op as mid cycle as we could predict and it was riskier than normal. She made a fantastic recovery though and was healthy and happy for the rest of her life.

Yeah, she advised to cancel spaying and put it off until March...

Once in the winter and once in the spring is the general pattern so I wouldn't be surprised.
