In 2004, EastEnders darkest time, Alison Pargeter has been a breath of fresh air for the show. As Scary Sarah, she has made a storyline which to begin with seemed average and boring, and turned it into a really enjoyable one with twists and turns. As the climax to the storyline approaches in tonights violent and nail biting episode, I want to say how great I think Alison Pargeter has been in her portrayal as Sarah. If Kathleen Hutchison has any sense she'll be working on a return storyline for Sarah.

I actually find her far more believable than Maya in Corrie or Steph in Emmerdale. I really do hope the actress gets a chance to return though after what happens tonight a return would be limited.

Definitely agree. I thought it was a ridiculous storyline to start with, but Alison has made it very believable and I'm actually looking forward to an episode for a change. I really hope she does well in future.

I must admit while I've not being totally captivated by this storyline, Alison's acting has been very good, with all those years of experience behind her. For me, she's the only reason why I find the story 'slightly' interesting

I shall be watching tonight's ep with 'interest', yes I said 'interest'!

I have been trying to compare Alison's acting skills with those of Sasha Behar (mad Maya in Corrie) and have to say they are both superb. Alison is chillingly convincing and her desperation and frightening eyes make the character very believable. The storyline started off a bit pathetic, but has evolved into a gripping plot, and i cant wait for tonight's explosive finale!

Lets hope Kathleen Hutchison brings her back (if she is going tonight) or we see her on our TV's again in something else!

Alison in Bad Girls, maybe???

She has been one of the highlights in a bad year for EE and because of this I think she will be back.

It's a shame that most "crazy" soap characters have a very limited shelf-life.

It would be great if EastEnders kept the character of Sarah but actually worked through her mental problems (erotomania I think it's called) rather than give her the usual Walford Personality Transplant.

She is a quality actress and played her role superbly well as seen tonight.

During some of tonights episode she actually had me feeling sorry for her character. Great actress!

I have to say I completely agree with all points re Alison on this thread. She made this storyline completely compelling and I really hope that tonight's episode wasn't the end. For me, Alison completely stole the show tonight - her ability to scare, yet also evoke sympathy for the character really impressed me. More Sarah please!!

Yes I agree I would like to see more of Sarah, I hope they dont end up going over the top with her if she returns. Careful planning and thought is needed to make it realistic.

She stole the episode tonight but James (Martin) and Natalie (Sonia) were also on top form. Great stuff.

No, they aren't related. I only know this though because somebody asked the question in Inside Soap magazine and Inside Soap said they are no relation.

She has been very very good but to bring back the same type of story would be tedius.

She deserves a promotition to Corrie.

As psychos go Sarah is far more realistic than Mad Maya, she's a different knid of psycho which is what I liked about her. Maya is brilliant but very pantomine, whereas Sarah was more real life kind of bonkers. I would love to see her come back, but I think that story about her falling to her death and Sonia being framed for murder could still well happen. It would be a good New Years Eve episode.

The thing is though, that "crazy characters" usually only work for the one particular storyline - Maya should go after the Dev & Sunita thing, and Richard Hillman was only there for that storyline. Would these characters really work after the crazy storyline. If Maya is meant to set fire to the flat with them inside, can you really see her in a years time sitting in Roys Rolls having a cup of coffee chatting with the locals? And would Sarah be able to stay in the square after pushing Pauline off a ladder, and attacking Sonia & Martin? It just couldn't happen. Psycho characters work in soaps only for a limited time because after that, they wouldn't fit into life in the soaps.

Very True! can I honestly just say, I strongly agree with meny people on this forum, Alison Pargeter needs to be written back into Eastenders again in some way of fourm between now and the coming future, but by bringing her back as Sarah Cairns would be now pointless, as she was only a ramdom character who didn't even have any lasting effect on any of today's current characters, and it has already been nearly 12 year's ago now since she was last seen.

If Eastenders bosses did decide to bring Alison Pargeter back to the show, I think she will be brought back as another character just like what they did with Diane Parish, Linda Henry and Ann Mitchell who have played other previous ramdom roles, before they where casted as there current main characters who have now got more big connection to Albert Square than ever with it's current cast members.
