Does everybody love Philip Schofield? A good presenter, but not a great presenter.
I thought I would start this thread because there is one about Christine Bleakley and I think the female presenters always getting a harder time.

My title lies though, I don't mind Philip either way

I find him pretty hard to take and indeed usually FF past his parts.

I like him on This Morning but he annoys me on DOI.

He was fine when he was No. 2 on shows or working in a strong partnership, but as soon as Fern left This Morning and he became Mr. ITV, he became insufferable. Simply can't bear him now and his choice of Holly Willoughby to co-present with him on This Morning proved that he didn't give a fig about the programme, just his own power. Awful, and time he moved off.

Doesn't bother me really, neither for or against but suspect he spends a lot of time smiling in front of a mirror

I'm not a fan of his at all, I tolerate him when I watch tv, I just find him abit.... not smug as such, but just ....? something along the lines of.

I like him I think he's a good presenter and seems like a genuinely nice bloke. I have no problem whatsoever with him.

Wasn't keen of his 'treatment' of Paul Burrows a few years back, now next to Dermot he's my No 2 TV man (with Dec a close No 3)!! LOL

I agree, he was fine when he was an equal part of a partnership but now he is the 'senior' person he comes over as OTT and full of himself. I quite like Holly but feel on TM she is brought down to the role of the 'little woman'. I fear that Christine Bleakley, who again I don't have strong feelings about, is going to be another of his Stepford Wives.

I agree. His treatment of Gordon the Gopher was absolutely disgusting.

I find him ok - I haven't seen him on daytime TV (don't watch it) but I like him on The Cube, and he does a good job as a presenter of DOI

Yup, I completely agree with both of you on those points.

I liked Holly but I don't dislike Christine. She's a bit bland but that's ok for a presenter of a show like this. She's actually presenting the show rather than making it about herself, which I feel Phillip Schofield does - kind of like a poor copy of Bruce Forsyth, who also makes Strictly too much about himself. Strictly and DOI are supposed to be about the contestants, after all.

I wouldn't say I can't stand him but he is rather pleased with himself. Like others have said when he was on TM with Fern he was palatable but now he is senior presenter he does grate. On DOI he is just far to shouty and full of himself.

As I said earlier, I don't mind Philip, but he seems so clean cut and nice. I wonder if it is an act? We know very little about him except that he likes Twitter and he likes to giggle with holly

Without Gordon the Gopher Philip would probably be stacking shelves in ASDA

Far from it. I've loathed him for some years now. His partnership with Fern Britton on This Morning always came across as forced, and I hate how he seems to act like he's got Holly under his thumb. He's much too smug in general, too, and it's so boring how he presents every other ITV show.

He HAS got Holly under his thumb - she must be aware that she owes her job to him. He will keep her until he thinks she's not respecting him enough, then she'll be replaced.
