Multipet insurance (lots of cats!)
Does anyone have cover for numerous cats or dogs that can recommend a good insurance company please?
I intend to ring around as the online sites only give the option for 3 pets and I have 15 cats ![]() I have never had them insured before as I have thought the premiums will probs cost more than vets bills would. But now I am thinking more about it and I think it would probably be best to have them insured in case of any contagious illnesses ect. Thanks in advance. |

15 cats
I can only imagine what the insurance would be.I have 3 cats insured with Petplan costing me under £41/month and that's with a special discount because my last 2 cats are from Cats Protection. They have the more expensive 'Covered for Life' policies because I don't consider the basic policy worthwhile - or offer me the peace of mind required should they develop chronic illnesses. You would be looking at premiums well in excess of £100/month even with multi-cat discounts. |

Too be honest none of my cats are insured. Yes i know they should be but i choose not too get them insured. With a multicate house hold i would too be honest put the money away in a bank account for emergencys. The premimums would be far too much i think. I do have slightly more than 15. But all have vet care when ever they needed.

With that number of cats I suspect the insurance will be astronomical. Put the money in a savings account each month and you will probably be well in profit in the long term.

Do you have 15 cats just mooching round the house or do they live outside?
