Thought I'd start an appreciation for my tag soap couple!

Yay an appreciation thread for my favourite Hollyoaks couple! They just need more screentime together and some bigger, deeper storylines and they will do brilliantly. The potential in them both as individual characters and as a couple is brilliant. And lets face it if they can think up storylines for the terrible Bart/Sinead relationship then there must be something good on the horizon for these two!
I'm also getting a bit sick of the 'we All hate Maddie, get rid of her' threads that occur whenever she so much as looks at someone the wrong way. Some of us love her and she deserves so much more appreciation for making the teen group a lot stronger than if it was just Bart, Sinead, Jono, Tilly, George and Neil. Maybe with the exception of George who seems to have the only decent storyline of the group and hopefully Bart when he gets a decent storyline, without Maddie the group would be incredibly weak full of dull, middle of the road characters.
Over time she'll probably mellow like all characters which will be nice to see as well as her nice side is lovely to see (especially with Callum) but they should give her some funnier one liners and put downs, therefore she can be nice but with a catty edge, just the way i like her.

The interview with Scarlett on DS hasn't filled me with much confidence about their future as a couple! 
By the sounds of it as well she doesn't sound like she has any storylines of her own coming up, just more of the same Sixth former/Ruby stuff which is a shame.
Hopefully i'm just being negative and the writers will put in some real effort to make them one of the shows better pairings.

What are Hollyoaks playing at? Now they are actively encouraging Maddie haters! 
Drop the queen bee bit and give us some proper character development, preferably with plenty of Caddie-ness!

i agree, i love Maddie, she NEEDS her own sl and/or more screentime with Callum, how i see it is they gave Bart and Sinead a sl and screentime so in the end they will do for Maddie/Callum (i hope)
Yes I'm hoping Callum and maddie will get lots of screen time! Maddie needs an onscreen family! I also wouldn't worry about Scarlett's interview! Laurie likes them and so does the producer! Scarlett just thinks that they are too different but that will change when maddie fixes or gets help with her issues!
Is it just me or do their scenes together just seem to get shorter and shorter? Even so just a small scene in an episode is better than the endless Jono/Ruby nonesense (their becoming the new Bart and Sinead!)! Loving her interacting more with the rest of the Kanes though, i think they should move her in with them asap.

Exactly, I think Scarlett is a fine actress and have been impressed with her all week!
I thought yesterday's E4 was sweat when Callum got upset because he upset maddie to the point where he called he's sister- he even apologised bless him!
We deffinatly need more longer caddie scenes!

It was nice to see Callum making the effort, lately it seems like all he's done is ignore her and tell her off. I really want this George storyline to bring them closer not drive them apart. This story and specifically Callum and Maddies involvement has really got me excited about Hollyoaks again lately.

Agreed and next week should be good when they go on their own to look for George!
Good news; they are mentioned at the end of one of the soap mags today saying they will finally sleep together but that Callum will have to take off straight afterwards. Hopefully this is the start of them being developed as a couple and will hopefully mean they spend some screentime alone together (although knowing Hollyoaks they'll probably have George or Tilly hiding under the bed just for good measure!).
They've both been fantastic in this George storyline. I don't know why people won't stop moaning about the Sixth formers, this storyline is one of the best in any soap at the moment.
All i need now is for Maddie to forgive Callum and everything will be hunky dory again.

I think that will happen in tonight's E4 after George gave them a talking to in the coach yesterday! The complaining about the 6th form sounds like a Brocken record!
I like Callum and Maddie separately, but i don't think they're right for each other as a couple. They have nothing in common.

Ok that's find but as this is an appreciation for the couple I don't think this is the best place for you to post that opinion.
E4 episode was brilliant, hopefully this will mean happy Caddie instead of bickering Caddie! Callum needs to ease up a bit on Maddie, really can't wait for Caddie to really make up properly, they haven't had a sweet, lovey-dovey moment in forever.
