Roku or Jailbroken Apple Tv

Would like to get as much as possible from one single box. The Roku box seems to offer more than Apple TV, but if I jailbreak Apple Tv what is available in Uk and what will be available on Roku from UK
I currently have Sony bdp s370 bluray for Lovefilm, 5OD, iPlayer etc. I am using Wii for Netflix, Humax Freesat Hd for itv player and PC for anything.

I have Googled but info spread over many sites and varies. Would be helpful to get info from users of digitalspt.

ATV2 Jailbroken with XBMC will kick Rokus butt, but then it is a fair bit more expensive...

Roku box IMO is mostly for people who dont really have all what you have and just want a simple and effective way to watch Netflix mostly, however they have yet to tell us what services they are going to launch with

+1 for jailbroken ATV2 with XBMC, I don't know what other services you'd get with an ATV2, but with XBMC through its various addons you'd get Iplayer, itvplayer, 4od, Demand 5, all the freeview channels plus a few freesat ones, and over 15 HD channels to name but a few.

I know nothing about this. Can you do this all through broadband rather than with an aerial? Can you do it with a PC and not an Apple Mac?

You can do it all with a pc or mac through your broadband.
What's more most of the things I mentioned work much better and easier than their web versions. And there is much more xbmc can do than I have mentioned.

Just got a new Apple TV for £80 on eBay.

I have jail broke it so I could play files from my NAS.

Going to have a look at getting XMBC installed today, where is the best place to look for addons?

Installed XBMC along with iPlayer, 4od, Demand 5, ITV Player and TV Catchup.

Everything appears to work fine except Demand 5 which is no great loss as i hardly ever watch it.

The Netflix addon is only for the US Netflix at the moment, although I suspect it will only be a short while before someone makes a working UK version.

@Gormond have a look for Bluecops repository (there's some nice things in there) and also for the rtmpGUI addon. For internet radio stations the Grooveshark and Icecast addons are worth installing too.

Netflix is built into vanilla Apple TV, No need to jail break or anything for it.

I have been using it the last couple of days and it's better than the PS3 version, far more features to find things rather than just the top 75 from each genre that's in the PS3 version.

Just installed it, thanks for the heads up.

I tried Hulu but it only plays the adverts and stops at the Video.

Try the addon with the initials fc (even though I'm almost certain its not illegal I'm not sure how much ds lets us say)
at the moment some of the stuff on there is broken but Bluecop posts that he's coding a fix.
