I used it last year, it didn't really show up that well on my hair, which is dark brown. It would only really show in the light, which wasn't what I wanted. It's a shame cos it looked such a nice colour on the box.

You might be alright if you're a medium brown though

Hiya I have put this colour on my hair on Tuesday and love it before I used the casting creme berry red but it faded really fast with it been semi perment and I wanted something more redder. My hair was a medium light brown but lighter on the top.
The plum power has gone dark red on my hair and shining a brighter red in the light. I only left it on for 20mins though instead of half an hour cause I didn't want it going too dark as I know some hair dyes go darker the longer you leave them. But it is a really lovely colour

Hope this helps

When I was dark I used Feria Espresso and thought it was the best home hair colourant, really loved it.

Any red will fade fast, that's the nature of the beast unfortunately. I find it easier to maintain peroxide blonde tones than red.

Yeah red does tend to fade quicker. Washed my for the first time tonight still looks as bright as it was even though the bath water went pink! I do use shampoo and conditioner for red though and that seems to help

I recently used a professional hair colour with some violet mixed in to make it plum, but as my hair is already quite dark it didn't take as much as it should've. What I used is Fudge Paintbox which is a semi perm colour, and mixed it in with some conditioner. It turned out VERY plum-like. If your dye isn't taking I suggest using the Paintbox colour

Yes, it just needs mixing with a bit of conditioner to tone down the brightness It's good if the colour ever fades as well, and needs a boost inbetween colourings.

Edit: This is the paintbox, I used Blueberry Hill which is quite a bright violet/plum. If your hair is a medium brown I doubt you'd need much. If the other colour doesn't turn out from your OP, I def suggest using this method Try googling, there's quite a few people out there that do this.

I used it on brown hair with a few highlights and it was very good, get it from bodycare for cheaper options

I use this method also (with a different colour as my hair is magenta red) and have found it the best way to keep the colour

Sorry only just saw this. It's cheaper online, and I'm not quite sure who would stock in store. Doesn't matter what conditioner you use but I've found one with a thicker consistency works best. Use the Feria colour first, then you can judge how much of the Painbox is needed

Yeah it works well with red hair. Red is a bad colour in terms of fading
