Wd Live TV and a WD MYBook World Edition
Both connected to router via cable
All computers can see and play media on the MyBook but the WD Live Tv Media player sees the Mybook but not the Content Any ideas ? |

I've got a WD TV Live and 2 NAS drives connected to my router.
My WD TV Live can see the content of my older drive, a My Book World Edition (blue ring version) but can't see the content directly of the newer My Book Live - in order to see that I have to use the in-built Twonky server. My WD TV isn't plugged directly into my router but via a network hub in my AV amp which, in turn, is connected to the router via Homeplugs. |

it could be the file type
you need to find the CODEC that WD Live Tv will play !!!!!!! I use a free programme called freemake.com and convert my files to either Divx or AVi . They are pretty universal and play on my xbox and even the TV will play them straight from my hard drive |

I've yet to find a file type the WD TV Live won't play, that was one of the reasons I bought one, much less fussy about what it will play c.f. a Sony TV or Blu Ray player.
