I have looked to find advice about BT Vision and Youview but can't find a clear answer.

I am looking at getting BT Vision but not sure if to wait for Youview? Will BT upgrade their box's/software to the same as Youview once it's launched? Does anyone know for sure what is going to happen before I sign up for a 12 month contract

Please help lol

The BT vision box doesn't meet the minimum spec requirement of YouView so it will not get a software update to be a YouView box.

What is your reason for going with BT Vision so we can best advise?

If its for catchup services then the £50 roku box might be a better bet.

Thank you for your reply, I just want to add to the Freeview Channels, I already have Freeview + and Free $ky but I would like on demand channels and free internet channels like MSN TV etc and yes catch up tv.

I'm kinda guessing I would be best to wait for Youview

Like you, I'm waiting for YouView which is scheduled for a June launch. Roku looks interesting too but at the moment only has Netflix on it but I can see this changing.

The key appeal of YouView to me is that it is a standard so you won't get that situation where a company introduces say I-Player, promises other catch-up services but then does not introduce them.
