Orange Pay As You Go
Encountered this problem some months ago when I got a new mobile with Orange and have now encountered the same problem having just obtained another new phone from Orange.
In the first few days of use I've noticed a rapid drop in the amount of cash in my 'Top Up'. Upon checking my usage online I found that I'd incurred two large charges for Internet usage, described as 'ap-prepaidsessio' by Orange. One was for £2.43 and the other was for £5.35. This is exactly what happened the first time. I think it has occurred whilst examining some of the Apps that are listed on the phone. At no time was I aware that a charge was involved and I suspect that this is some kind of scam. Interested to hear from any other Orange users who may have experienced the same thing. |

If the apps need data and you don't have a data plan you will have been charged. Its that simple.

Orange Pay As You Go
Thanks MGS4SnakeRulez for your comment.
I accept that this may be the case, but you should not be able to examine the App unless you have such a plan. |

I accept what you say, but any unwary user should not be able to examine the App unless they have such a plan.
