What bands do you like in spite of yourself? I find The Sugarbabies', Girls Aloud's, Sophie Ellis Bextor's and Rachel Steven's music to be bland pop, with no real originality and sound engineered to within an inch of its life. None of them can sing live, they rarely (ever?) tour but will show up at any two-bit awards show or concert tour and have yet to show any real singing talent on their singles. By all my usual standard I should absolutely hate them, but damn it their songs are so annoyingly catchy, and they're pretty cute to boot that I find myself captivated whenever I channel flick onto their songs and videos. I still can't bring myself to actually buy anything they put out though.

Will Young. I really loathe to admit it, but I do like his voice and some of his songs. Haven't bought any of his CD's though

Sophie Ellis Bextor beyond doubt. So Catchy it's annoying.
I used to be a sucker for S Club (7) but their 3rd album Sunshine was actually really well written (obviously not by them) and the tunes were really mixed. Now I find myself listening to 'Dreaming' by S Club 8's (formerly S Club Juniors) Frankie and Calvin strangely catchy, The kind of song you'd want to hear on a wet afternoon.
I'm starting to like V now as well as they seem to be the new Take That.

The Darkness - I saw them before they were famous, they were an opening act, they got booed off stage, I thought that was the last I would see of them but they have come back to haunt me.

I think the thread title means songs/acts you Love, but hate the fact you love them. Not bands you actually dont like
unless you two previous posters love the Darkness and Busted, in which case I misread your posts
