XLN Phone lines
Anyone here have any experience of XLN Telecom?
I'm a small business customer and just before christmas I migrated my phone service to XLN. Since day 1 I've had problems using my Verifone card payment terminal with around half of all payment attempts failing. It connects, but is unable to complete the transaction. The Verifone terminal provider tell me they have a lot of problems with XLN customers and that XLN lines are not able to handle the data transfer. As part of the XLN deal I also took their broadband. So I suppose it could be that, but shouldn't be. I've replaced all the filters on the phone sockets in case one of the filters that XLN provided was faulty, but it's made no difference. Anyone got any thoughts or ideas on this one? XLN customer services haven't been very helpful, essentially saying any failures are down to Verifone. Verifone on the other hand are saying it's XLN! |

A friend of mine uses XLN telecom for his small business, for both broadband and phone. He doesn't have any payment systems though. I've spoken to them once, mainly for setting up a router for their broadband, and they seemed helpful and quick to respond.
Find out what the problem is with XLN telecom from Verifone, the lines are ultimately provided (and maintained) by BT group. Are there any other options instead of using dialup (eg GPRS, etc)? |
