SCART Interference
Think this lives here rather than gaming.
I've been given a PS2, so I've hooked it up to the boys Teknica (Tecnika ? it's one of those Tesco own brand things) tv/dvd/iPod dock. However, I'm getting interference on AV2 (using SCART) and AV1 (using the red/yellow/white jacks). For want of a better explanation, it's all wibbly wobbly as if the channel wasn't tuned in properly. TV works fine otherwise. I've exhausted all possibilities (I've still got my own PS2, so I've used the cables from that and also hooked that up as well) but it's still doing it. Finally, I've plugged it into the tv that my PS2 was plugged into and it works fine. I've even swapped tv's over, so I know there's nothing around the tv causing interference. Given that, it's got to be the SCART on his tv. Has anybody got any suggestions as to a workround or is the tv screwed in that area ? No dissing the cheap telly please ! ![]() Thanks |

Sorry - but it sounds like the cheap telly doesn't like the artificial signal from the PS2 - obviously it's not a SCART problem, as it does it on the AV input as well.

Which is interesting as the two tellys probably came out of the same factory
