Need help accessorizing this dress

So I have bought a dress to wear out for a day to the races: http://www.fennwrightmanson.com/occa...ss_persian.htm

The only thing is, it looks navy blue but its actually got a greenish tinge, more like a dark teal. I have literally no idea what colour to pair with it. I though red and got a lovely bright reddish/pink Ted Baker bag, it looks awful! I was thinking maybe a cream wool pashmina and greyish bag/shoes - I don't know though, please somebody help me as I am totally clueless

Gorgeous dress!

I would wear silver or black with it, probably. However brown and teal look nice together.. not sure how "teal" it is though.

Good luck x

Thanks! I thought of silver too but its a bit sparkly and i'm not a sparkly kind of girl. Maybe a steely grey would do. Teal is more turquoise isn't it - I have tried brown but it doesn't seem to match. Wish I had the gift of pairing colours like some people do.
