The only current explanation is the IO U meaning 10 you, as in Sherlock having the binary code to the super secret special key. If it has a secondary meaning, not sure what it would be.

Hi guys! I know there's a long wait until series 3 but I just had to say somethign!
"A Scandal in Belgravia"- absolutely fantastic. Who wouldn't be tempted by The Woman - Lara Pulver is GORGEOUS, top girlcrush ever! the story was fantastic, acting superb...9/10!
The Hound of the Baskerville...a bit too slow for me, while the acting was amazing, I didn't enjoy the story like Scandal. Russel Tovey was great, and i loved Sherlock drugging John, so funny.
Reichenbach Fall? Haven't cried so much at an episode of TV since Ashes to Ashes finale. Absolutely fantastic. And the acting? Wow.
Moriarty gives me chills.
I was surprised at Sherlock classing Lestrade as one of his inner circle, but watching them all again it made a bit more sense.
And a note on Lestrade? Phwoar. Rupert Graves is 48. And bloody gorgeous.
In fact, the lead 4 men of Reichenbach I'd quite happily marry.

That rooftop scene was SO powerful. Moriarty was haunting, Sherlock was [i] crying [/] ...and he's done the whole farce to protect John (particularly)

I have developed quite the crush on Rupert Graves over the past year or so, down largely in part to Sherlock. I've ended up watching a bit of his earlier stuff and, my God, he was absolutely gorgeous in his 20s and 30s. Check out 'Different for Girls' on youtube, a 1996 film. Wowser.

What if he'd used the illusion gas from Hounds of Baskerville on Watson once more?

Using Sherlocks own methodolog.

We Know it was Sherlock on the roof
We Know it was Sherlock that Jumped
We Know it was Sherlock on the Ground
We Know it was Sherlock Alive in the cemetery

Since it is impossible to survive a fall of that hight without serious injury then we are left with the fact that at some point between jumping and hitting the ground, Sherlock slowed his fall.

From what I watched during the episode I believe the following:

Sherlock knew quite early on that Moriarty was going to kill him but was not sure in which way.

When he met Gary Brooks aka Reichenbach he then knew how he would die "Fall"

The fact that several high level assasins had moved into his area would be obvious to Sherlock

Since pushing Sherlock would be too crass for Moriarty he knew that he would be forced to Jump and why he would have no choice, ie the assasins being close to his friends.

The Fall

Moriarty Fakes his death to remove what he thinks is Sherlocks only way out, all you see is a Gun go off and Blood, both are fake, the Gun only makes a sound, the blood was from a blood pack that burst when he fell back.

Sherlock in order to save his friends, Jumps off the building into the back of a lorry padded with what looks to be bin bags but most likley a special foam to absorb the fall.

He then jumps back out the back onto the floor, covers him self in blood and uses a drug, something akin to the Hati Zombie powder made for him by Molly Hooper to put himself in a deep sleep so he appears dead.

The entire Phone call was a way for Sherlock to time the entire fake jump, He needed a clear moment when John would see him jump but no one would be able to see him land.

Sherlock knew exactly how long it would take John to reach Baker Street and get back and where he would have to stand to miss the jump into the back of the truck.

The Cyclist was most likely an safetly measure to stop him running around the corner too fast and seeing him getting out of the back of the lorry.

Sherlock would have needed Mollys help while he was in the faked death to switch the bodies or he may have ended up having an Autopsy while still in the alive.

Elementary

I can't help thinking the apple has something to do with it, but in terms of Newton's theory of gravity.

Newton worked it out when he saw the apple falling from the tree, so did the apple somehow give Sherlock a theory about how he would fall from the building?

Can't really expand on that , but am certain the apple has to do with gravity somehow.

Maybe someone could help me with that line of thinking!

To my mind, Sherlock only realised that Moriaty wanted him dead after he and John left the journalist's house. Sherlock had been uncharacteristically quiet in there, but let fly full steam as they walked down the street.
He stops talking as it suddenly dawned on him just how far Moriaty wanted him to 'fall'. It was straight after this that he left John and went to Molly at the hospitlal and told her "I think I'm going to die."
Did he even leave Bart's after this?

I'd agree with all that , but there's one other thing - we see a body ( or something like it hit the pavement before John is knocked over by the cyclist ) , now what that is I don't know .

They are making it look like the 'squash ball theory' is mine when it isn't. By the time I had posted it on 22nd January: a) it had already been mentioned on DS pretty early after the final episode, and b) the theory was all over the internet by then.
