Not seeing it myself but... Can't wait for how John reacts when he sees sherlock. I'm sure he won't faint. Probably swear then punch him. Mycroft then pulls him away. He's known he was alive and financed sherlock in hiding. IMO

Is the 'looking for clues' starting up again? Now we'll all have to watch the episode... again.

I watched your clip, but I think it's just the way Mrs Hudson is walking, in a sway-like way. She keeps coming into view over the next couple of seconds. That's the way I see it anyway.

Aahh, I hope he does.

Nah, I think Martin Freeman has the right idea: http://metro.co.uk/2013/02/01/martin...olent-3377963/

Radiotimes.com suggesting an air date around Christmas but they don't offer much evidence!

Ha ha! Thanks for that. Looks like Martin can't wait to punch Sherlock's lights out! All 'in character' of course.

It may not be 'very 2013' to them (what does that mean anyway?) but I still think it's a very memorable scene in the canon. Maybe I'm just an old fashioned girl.

Even if it's aired at Christmas, that's two years since the last series! I hope we don't have to wait longer than that.

It certainly is a memorable scene but not one that does Watson any justice imo. Especially our Watson, I can't imagine he could have gone to war in Afghanistan and not be a bit more resistant to surprise! (Nothing to do with not being very 2013)

Yes.

I need to know NOW, dammit!

Apparently the Daily Mail has revealed how he survives for everyone with set pics and everything. I can provide a link if people want but otherwise. I can't make any sense of it though. MAJOR MAJOR spoilers for anyone who wants to read it though.

I hate how tabloids do that. What if a Sherlock fan accidentally reads a spoiler, once it's read it can't be un-read and it completely ruins the surprise. If Mr. Moffat can keep the press quiet over Doctor Who spoilers, then surely he can ask them to do it for Sherlock spoilers?!

Knowing Moffat I wouldn't be surprised if he's fabricated something for the Daily Mail to put them off the scent.

I thought this message given by Sue Vertue five or so days ago was a bit strange:

Hi, Sue Vertue here.

As many of you are aware, we'll soon be embarking on our first London leg of filming for series 3. I'm also aware that there is quite a lot of speculation about where we're shooting when. I can't stress how much we the Producers and Benedict, Martin and the rest of the cast appreciate your love and dedication to our show - we'll endeavour to live up to your expectations for Series 3.

What I am nervous about is that our London shooting schedule is punishing and will really give us very little time to interact with you. The actors really hope you understand that.

Also, and I know this is probably asking a lot, the majority of fans and indeed ourselves would REALLY appreciate it if you didn't post pictures or spoilers or ideally our daily locations.

Thanks for your understanding. Sue x

http://www.sherlockology.com/news/20...-vertue-090413

especially bits in bold.

It's like "Yoohoo, we're going to be shooting in London. Please don't post photos and spoilers, 'cos we'd like to keep it secret."

So, naturally, the whole world and his wife turn up (including the DM), and do the very opposite of what Ms Vertue is asking. And there are pics around the internet. And the DM solves it.

I think it's time to switch off everything and go and live on a desert island until the New Year. Otherwise, the solution to The Reichenbach Fall will no doubt be made known to us long before the new series starts.

Has it previously been reported or rumoured that the filming would be talking place in London?
If it was and the cat was already out of the bag then she may as well mention it.

I agree though, the newspapers and websites couldn't give a toss about loyalty. They just want pics and gossip.
I'd also say that for even the most hardcore fans.

I simply can't get my head round how
Spoiler
he survives. My head spun a bit with the "I invented Moriarty" stuff (I thought at first it was a Fight Club sort of thing - Moriarty = his dark side - they're two sides of a coin, so when Moriarty dies, Sherlock does too?) But as he faked his death he must have that all planned.

There is an amazing set of photos VERY easily found online which seem to show the first episode being filmed. Hell of a twist if they turn out to be a true representation of what happens in ep one of series 3 !!!

There might have been a video I saw which really made me tilt my head I'm definitely shocked. Can't wait for series three though!

Alternatively, for those who are either adverse to adverts or can't see the point in paying more for tv (like me), A Study in Pink (S01E01) is being shown on BBC3 next friday (17th) at 9pm

I'm watching.

I haven't watched the first series in a long time. 'A Study in Pink' is a very good episode.

I love that part where Sherlock's lovely coat floats when he's running down the stairs after shouting "Pink!".

It's a great reminder of just how awesome this version of Sherlock is. I've seen this episode dozens of times I get something new from it every time. I'll enjoy these repeats and wait for new sherlock episodes in September ( so I've heard) yeah!
