I went the DVD route, no ads like on Alibi.

I'm expecting John to punch Sherlock when he first sees him. Remember that fight they had in "A Scandal In Belgravia"

Quote:
“Sherlock: Punch me in the face.
Watson: Punch you?
Sherlock: Yes, punch me, in the face. Didn't you hear me?
Watson: I always hear "punch me in the face" when you're speaking, but it's usually subtext.
Sherlock: Oh, for God's sake! [punches John in the face. John punches him back, before jumping onto his back and grabbing him in a chokehold] Okay, I think that's enough now.
Watson: You want to remember, Sherlock, I was a soldier. I killed people!
Sherlock: You were a doctor!
Watson: I had bad days!”

The Blind Banker is on tonight so I looked through iPlayer and saw that A Study in Pink was on last Friday but it isn't available on Sky On Demand

It's on BBC i-player, if that's any help?

Aye, already downloaded it. Also recording it on Alibi as I prefer to watch on TV rather than the PC.

I was looking forward to the repeat of S2 tonight to get into the mood for S3.

It's been resheduled because of Tennis

I bloody hate tennis why can they not put it on another BBC channel. This was the only thing I wanted to watch tonight

Perhaps because a) it's a British player in the match and b) it's the semi-final of Britain's major tennis tournament?

BBC2 has a nightly schedule for Wimbledon. They could have put in on there - where it was scheduled - instead of disrupting the news, local programming and several other programmes.

That's a debate for a different thread though

Me too and I'm quite sure they could have shifted Coast and Kate Humble pretending to be a shepherd if they'd wanted to.

Strange as it may seem, there are millions of people in this country who have absolutely no interest in watching sport.

Presumably if murphy wins tonight and gets into the next round, then BBC1 will be disrupted on saturday night as well. Or sunday - I've no idea when the next round is.

And since people compete at wimbledon as individuals, why does it matter if he's irish?

It sucks, first semi finished about 6 so why not leave tennis on bbc2 it makes no sense. Can bbc2 not cope with 10 million viewers , or is it sooo important for bbc1 to beat all the other channels ?? I love tennis but I love Sherlock more. As I said, It sucks

Come, now. A British player in a Wimbledon semi-final versus a repeat - it's obvious which one was going to take precedence on BBC1.

I love Sherlock more than tennis usually, but it was a repeat. I've watched it so often I could practically recite it! Whereas we didn't know who was going to win the tennis match.

But I am a bit baffled as to why they didn't keep the tennis on BBC 2.

The normal schedules won't be interrupted again. The Ladies' final is tomorrow afternoon and the Men's on Sunday.

You're not kidding about not knowing about sport! He's called Murray and he's Scottish! The 'next round' is actually the final, which is on Sunday.

Kate Humble's programme was the last of a three part series so seems reasonable to keep the series on consecutive weeks.

They were changing schedules all the way through the evening as the match dragged on. I believe Sherlock is a repeat so it is the obvious one to be delayed a week.

I can imagine the complaints if it had been put on BBC2 at 20:00h (when Coast was on).

I don't mind them shuffling programmes around provided they keep the listings and EPG up to date, they have been struggling this week and earlier in the week the EPG was still wrong after programmes started but at least tonight they seemed to keep up with the current programme though later ones were often shown wrong in the EPG.

They have some bizarre fetish that Murray's matches must be on BBC1, even though they've scheduled the tennis on BBC2 and everyone who is interested in watching it can do so there. Of course, once it's running beyond the time scheduled for tennis disruption is inevitable, but it doesn't have to be as bad as they insist on making it.

I don't give a flying fig. I cannot stand him or tennis and sport takes over everything. It should be on another channel.

I have never watched this so am really bugged that it was cancelled. So many people have rated it I'd thought I would give it a go.

Me too. My sister was raving about it so I thought I would give it a whirl.

Does anyone know if it is re-scheduled for next week? I am guessing the first episode will now be next Friday but it's still saying episode 2 on the planner.
