i have said this right now...
i can garentee that voices of soul will be going next week.. or if there is another bottom two..then they will be in the bottom 2 like i have said before many times.. rowetta has got that nutty thing about her..people like her personality more than her voice..she stands out..she makes you remember her.."oh god its that nutty woman again"..etc..she will always be remebered but i cant remember a single competition where anyone that has been full black has done well in a competition in a phone vote x factor is about talent..why in the flamming hell are they singing for??? tabby could have not sung at all tonight and still would have gone through its the same every year..ethnic people may aswell not enter |

It wasn't racism - it was SEXISM On phone in voting reality shows it's always black women who struggle. Black men fare much better on average. But at the first opportunity black women usually suffer that the hands of the voting public. |

BUT your accusations are ridiculous and unnecessary! (sp?)Lets just count ourselves lucky that Simon kept them in. Roberta shouldn't have gone either!

Likely to be a different arena, different audiences. Saturday night ITV audiences are not out clubbing. |

Oh I'm so sick of people like you coming up with this racism sh*t. It happens in every singing competition. Whenever a white person is voted out its because they are crap, but when a black person goes home, you always scream racism. Grow up for God's sake. I'm sick of SOME black people blaming their every bit of misfortune on their skin colour.
What woud you think if I said Roberta was in the bottom 2 because she was white and all the black people voted for her? Sounds a bit rediculous doesn't it? Well, so does your argument. |

But I am a racialist because I would rather listen to Bob Dylan instead of Stevie Wonder.
Where's Trevor Phillips and the CRE? I need to be arrested immediately! |

Steve wipes up the rest of the hormonal female voters. He has a great voice butt admittedly tonight he was poor. God alone knows how Verity got through, my guess is sympathy. I very much doubt race had anything to do with it. Quote:

My point is that if VWS sounded like Aretha they'd have got more votes than anyone. They don't. |

Did you forget about Ruben (black) that WON, yes WON, American Idol last year? Do your homework before making statements that make you look like the fool you are. |

It was voter apathy and no other reason...end of story! People are far to quick to jump on the racism band wagon hence why we live in this PC world, Just accept it for what it was.

Really, I think Verity should have gone tonight, as she can't actually hold a tune - it was the sympathy vote that kept her in, not the fact that she was white. Roberta is also white, and has left, despite having a great voice.
Maybe people just don't like Voices with Soul - I thought they sang well, but would not have voted for them, because to me, they were a little on the boring side. |

I think you seem to be argueing against yourself with Rowetta as well. You say that she only got more votes because she has a wild personality and people like her more. That's the whole point of the show. I understand the point you are trying to make, I just think it is wrong. Whilst there is no denying there will be some people who say "I wont vote for them they are black" i don't think that in the balance of things, that woudl be strong enough to allow Rowetta through but not other black people - it doesnt add up. For that to happen it would have to have been "I wont vote for them because they are black - but I will vote for her instead (oh she is black)" - otherwise Rowetta would have ben in the bottom 2 |

Yeah - the American audience is enlightened whereas the British audience is racialist and eats babies and stuff.
