Hi Wendy. Glad to hear from you. I gather GD is still in hospital. Hope you get the test results soon.
Sounds like you had a good day with your daughter.
Was she helping you spend your money?

OOh romantic, candles, holly, ivy, a castle with a big log fire. Ask the Queen if you can borrow Windsor for the day. My friend and my parents have both been to a wedding in Windsor that was on an island in the Thames.

No its the local Church and then a hotel for reception. Highclere Castle is closeby but it has a tradition for broken marriages #Peter&Katie

Evening everyone.

Ok, this may be going over old ground slightly as this is going back to posts earlier in the week but I was unable to respond until now.

I'm not cynical for the sake of it, despite how it may seem. How I articulate or express my views and opinions hasn't especially changed since I joined here, but the situation I give my views and opinions on within this thread has changed. While my thoughts on John have continued to receive a consistant response my opinions of Josie are apparently less welcome. Is this because what I am saying is wrong or because I'm talking about Josie? Am I expressing an agreeable point of view when I'm pulling John up on something but doing something terribly out of order when pulling up Josie?

Granted, I have posted more cynically about Josie in recent months than I have John but only due to Josie doing more things in public. Has my cynicism been unjustfied? As I mentioned last week, I posted my doubts that Josie and Luke would go on the holiday Josie mentioned in her column last year. I'm sure it caused an eye-roll or few (I'm assuming so, anyway, the post was removed after all) and yet my cynicism was proved right.

Also last weekend I explained why Josie's column (about Luke and his new teeth and muscles) would be open to criticism. Was that cynical or just being realistic?

When John and Josie split I did not take sides. In fact, I still haven't actually taken a side. I've said before that my support for John simply remained the same when that for Josie fell away after a series of things she said or did. If my cynicism towards Josie has grown it's because she's given me no reason to clip it back.

I'm still waiting though. I'm open to having my mind changed. I wouldn't still be hanging around here if I was in mind to dismiss her completely.

To be fair, there is a lot to be cynical about Josie if you so wanted. Her mag column can sound like an advert for dentists or boot camps. If you want you can read them as digs at John.

John is quieter so there is less to comment on but peole are very cynicalof him and his 2 articles re girl friend.
Personally as long as you are not posting out and out hate and dont talk in a condescending and patronising tone ,(not you) comment away. Discussions are good.

Sometimes I feel the word discussion is mis understood by some. A discussion does not necessarily mean we will agree, we may offer different points of view. We may wander off topic, have a laugh, but the majority , the huge majority are never offensive so the person who has delicate reading abilities and likes to alert should think on.

You certainly dont want that then. I like a church wedding. I am a bit of a traditionalist.

Claire is traditionalist. I wouldn't have minded a wedding say in Bali or Australia meself, but its Claire's choice
