Evening everyone.
Ok, this may be going over old ground slightly as this is going back to posts earlier in the week but I was unable to respond until now.
I'm not cynical for the sake of it, despite how it may seem. How I articulate or express my views and opinions hasn't especially changed since I joined here, but the situation I give my views and opinions on within this thread
has changed. While my thoughts on John have continued to receive a consistant response my opinions of Josie are apparently less welcome. Is this because what I am saying is wrong or because I'm talking about Josie? Am I expressing an agreeable point of view when I'm pulling John up on something but doing something terribly out of order when pulling up Josie?
Granted, I have posted more cynically about Josie in recent months than I have John but only due to Josie doing more things in public. Has my cynicism been unjustfied? As I mentioned last week, I posted my doubts that Josie and Luke would go on the holiday Josie mentioned in her column last year. I'm sure it caused an eye-roll or few (I'm assuming so, anyway, the post was removed after all) and yet my cynicism was proved right.
Also last weekend I explained why Josie's column (about Luke and his new teeth and muscles) would be open to criticism. Was that cynical or just being realistic?
When John and Josie split I did not take sides. In fact, I still haven't actually taken a side. I've said before that my support for John simply remained the same when that for Josie fell away after a series of things she said or did. If my cynicism towards Josie has grown it's because she's given me no reason to clip it back.
I'm still waiting though. I'm open to having my mind changed. I wouldn't still be hanging around here if I was in mind to dismiss her completely.
