I have a miniature bull terrier (11) and a moggy (17). They get on extremely well. In fact, now they're both pensioners, they spend most of the day curled up together on a bed or the sofa. They also sleep in the same room all night.

We used to have a staffie and the cat was extremely closely bonded with him - she thought she was his mum. We had him from a puppy - for a week or two he was actually smaller than her, and from day one, she thwacked him in the face with her claws out, when he went to her food bowl. So he always had a healthy respect for her. And after a while, followed her everywhere and copied her - result was a full grown staffie who acted like a cat. (He'd try and sleep balancing along the back of the sofa - great til he fell on your head!)

Whenever she came in the room, she'd weave in and out of his legs and rub her head on him. She never does it with our bullie - although they are fond of eachother, I think the dog is more keen on the cat than vice versa. They are company for eachother, and in fact since our other dog died, they'd both be lonely without eachother.

The cat can't accept other cats at all but has no fear of - and walks right upto - dogs. She is unfazed by our neighbour's dog, as well.

The dog freaks her out by trying to get her to play - she does this thing bull terriers do called a 'bully run' (madly spinning in circles, then pretending to pounce) which horrifies the cat - esp as the dog is madly wagging her tail. Sometimes the dog steps on her as well as she is blind and a little bit clumsy. The dog probably tries once a day to entice the cat to chase her, but it never happens.

They're both disabled - the cat has been 3 legged since she was about six months old (slight disagreement with a car), the dog is blind. I also have a 3 legged rabbit.
