Looking at how they were on the first 'live' show, it seems as if Sharon's problem with Simon is very real. However, she is begining to make herself look silly and needs to calm things down - at least in front of the cameras! The trouble is that this stupid in-fighting is taking the attention away from the contestants - you can't hear the acts for the rowing!! And there is one thing that Sharon and louis needs to remember - if one of their acts win, they are going to have to work with Simon anyway with the record releases etc...

Sharon seemed to have a real chip on her shoulder last night. She couldn't accept a single word of criticism about any of her acts and assumed Simon was being personal rather than just honest. Louis, of course, was too weak to say anything negative. Why is it ok for her to criticise Simon's acts but not vice versa???

Louis said plenty of nasty things last night, but Simon has been cast as the Baddie, so people always remember the things he says over and above those of the other judges. I didn't actually think he said anything "nasty" per se last night, he just made honest observations.

X-Factor is really top-quality stuff, compared to PI2 at least.

Contestant-wise, every one of them deserves to be there, and there are a few superstars in the making.

Judge-wise, Simon is coming off best with the most dignity, and his acts (esp. Rowetta) are performing best too.

Does anyone else agree that G4 performed Everybody Hurts with absolutely no emotion? An impressive feat...

The "twist"- good idea, as it keeps the genuine potential superstars in the competition rather than the heart-throb or sympathy vote (Gareth/Michelle anyone?) Also does well in its original aim of further distancing X-Factor from PI in the eventual court case...

Rowetta to win!
