Not surprised about Mark - duos like he and Sam often have one going early.

Thinking of Colin and Justin, Cannon and Ball, not quite the same but Kenny and Gabby on Strictly.

Though after that, the "surviving" partner often does well.

Wondered that was it but the annoying pedant in me thought it was worth asking.

i don't know if you have ever skated or been to public skating lessons. If you have, you would realise that the majority of people taking the 30 minute lessons are skating backwards and doing mohawks by week six. That is 30 mlinutes in a group once a week. To not be able to skate around forward after intensive private lessons makes one question the persons commitment? I realise that there are some people (and I've seen them) who are petrified and it takes them 6 weeks of those lessons to skate forward. But they are in the minority. No one is saying the over 40's to progress as fast (and I think Rosemary is doing well for an over 60 who has never skated and is not dance trained as a younger person. ) However, some (like Corey) have the coordination. They just can't be bothered... you think he would have learned by now but then, he's never had do actually do anything to make money. (lol - he's one of the lucky ones).

can I ask a question?

did I miss a professional dance at the start of the show or did they skip it this week?

I used to enjoy T&D at the start of the show each week. Last week it was the Professionals without T&D and I felt a bit cheated.

This week I feel ripped off.

Wonder what this twist is next week then...”

Tonight's required element is a quad leading into a triple toe loop.

There is a sniper at the ready for all who fail.

But surely that'd make the show after next shorter; not next week's?

Twist - I liked the skills test although as it has been used before isn't a surprise.

I agree with your post except for the bit about Rosemary. She's been having skating lessons for 2 years prior to starting the intensive training for the show.

I have to say that the majority of this year's contestants are already better than Gaynor Faye was when she won.

Vanilla Ice got off his arse last year and did it, he was well over 40 wasn't he?

A simple plea to all those who are voting for CORY Please DON'T he is not even worth the comedy entertainment slot he is for me an arrogant spoiled brat who has never had to work a day in his life and will never match his physical commitment to his bloated ego.

Agree 100% - Mark, a lovely, committed bloke should not have gone...

No, you didn't miss a pro routine. I guess they felt tonight's show was long enough.

Which makes next week odder - if T and D are performing as well - that seriously cuts into the performance time

So lovely for Mark to acknowledge Frankie at the end - especially after Laila's slightly less gracious exit. Her partner thanked her and she didn't reciprocate - poor chap!

But I enjoyed Mark's routine more than Corey's so hopefully Corey's skating days are numbered.
Charlene did disappoint this evening to be fair.

Well Matt is a pairs skater so in a way it makes sense if the DOI wants to show some spectacualr lifts that they put him with someone who is pairs size.

I think the twist will be a double elimination, there's still too many couples left.
