Bump anyone have any joy with this being sorted yet?

I still have the same problem on my BD-C6500.

Have the latest firmware, Jan 2012, as stated by the player itself and on samsung website.

Quite annoying.

I've bought a new Sony player in the last few months but just out of interest hooked my Samsung player up yesterday and tried to use Lovefilm. Still the same problem

No Christmas present for me No update, no lovefilm update and lovefilm still freezes. I've only been waiting since Feb 2012 now

Just checked the website and there is new firmware for the C5900 and C6500 which is one I have and will give it a go tonight

Maybe worth checking your model on line to see if there is manual update using a USB stick:

I have the c5300 and unfortunately there is no an update for that one yet but there is an update for the c5500 and above.

hounddog is correct. This is almost certainly a Samsung update issue. My software was showing as 25.2 (cant remember the whole file name) Each time I tried to force an update, the information returned was latest level. Samsung UK site is useless. Managed to find software downloads on the US site, and found level 27.0 was available. Downloaded onto USB (there are instructions) Everything perfect. Suddenly Lovefilm is not the thing that made me want to adjust my bd-c6500 with a lump hammer.

I installed the latest Samsung update a couple of weeks ago and it has fixed it!!!

There does not seem to be an update for the c5300 though. It's not listed on the American site and the uk update is listed Jan 2012
