I think Matt knows she could be even better than Suzanne.

If I was considering only ability on ice and performance Jorgie would be a contender - but I don't get the impression that there's a lot between the ears; i.e. vacuous.

She plays the dumb blonde a bit but after all, she's an actress. Matt says she is like a sponge, meaning she absorbs everything. You can't do that if you're dumb.

I dunno - could it just be a wee bit of an act - that dizziness?

Thats so harsh, just because she is on hollyoaks and a blonde doesnt make her vacous !

This. She's just excitable. I don't think she comes across as vacuous or thick or anything like that. Just a happy, bubbly girl. Oh of course, that means she's an airhead

I think Jorgie is great, she's just excitable. I shall be voting for her in the future I think.

I thought Robin explained why he gave Matthew such a high score - Matthew used his blades better than anyone else.

Conversely, Louie gave Jorgie more points because he preferred her characterisation.

Overall, they each had a little of what the other needed and finished joint top.

Seems fair enough to me.

But he stood still or off the ice for the majority, he had no footwork and mostly stood still while his partner danced around him

I think me, you and Robin were watching a different performance! I saw footwork too, and plenty of dancing together, not Nina doing all the work.

Loved Jorgie's performance as well. I couldn't separate them.

That's the impression I get at times. It's not necessary; be an actress on ice and yourself as you step off. She's fearless and watching her skate all elements are ticked: skating, dancing and acting.

I've never seen her act so I can't make an informed judgement; but if she's an intelligent young woman putting herself across as a ditzy blonde I think she's making a mistake.

That is a very presumptuous assumption you are making.

Who mentioned Hollyoaks or hair colour?

Before the series started I had no knowledge of Jorgie or her acting cv. I don't watch soaps but I do know that some very prestigious actors have been proud to appear in them e.g Sir Ian McKellan so why on earth would I base my opinion on her appearance in a soap?

Furthermore in my field of work I have come across many very intelligent blondes - Jorgie just doesn't come across as the sharpest tool in the box.

I make no apology for the impression I've formed of your favourite - it's simply my view. However i do hope you will resist the urge to psychoanlyse my opinions in the future.

I haven't actually seen her in Hollyoaks, but I've seen her praised as an "amazing" actress. She is 5 years older than the character she plays, Theresa McQueen, and hence can give her considerable depth, more so than an equivalent age actress. She is 5ft 2in, and hence can play younger than she is.

I think she has intuitive natural talent, which is a type of creative intelligence that might not appear in the same way that standard intelligence does. I don't think she even thinks about appearing to be intelligent.

Hmmm...phrasing seems a little pretentious and comment is overly defensive, hinting at the possibility of paranoia.
How was your relationship with your mother?

I must confess that I was thoroughly enchanted by Jorgie's first performance and this week's was charming and fun.

I can't stand her, all that hand over mouth, raised eyes etc when she got a high score as if to say "What little ole me!" Give me Heidi any day, at least she's natural.

Also it would be nice to see Jorgie skating by herself, instead of always being held or being lifted. I'm sure she can skate as she looks confident enough when she's holding her partner's hand, but I'd like her to prove it.

He had plenty of footwork and lots of Dancing on the ice with Nina in perfect synch. Seemed to me that everyone this week had some sections of off ice stuff or stationery stuff on the ice.

I lke Jorgie and I get why judges have marked her highly but at this stage she hasn't blown me away & there are other couples who excite me more.

There was certainly far too much that was done in place, and I thought it was a generally unimpressive and lacklustre routine. Very over-marked.

I'm obviously watched the wrong performance as well.

I also love them both, how exciting to have two very good contestants (plus some other exciting contestants who might catch them up i.e. Chico). This is a brilliant year, shame Mark went yesterday, because he seems like such a sweet guy, but so is life.
