Extra from Oliver

It seems obvious from the first weeks show that Sharon wants Tabby to win,why did she turn Cassie into an extra from Oliver, after last night i now doubt she will win but give her a fighting chance,PS i initialy thought giving the judges the final say on who goes through was a bad idea, but after seeing how the public voted last night ,i can see why they are doing it,the public are stupid FACT,Verity is as flat as a pancake (i mean her voice by the way haha) and should of gone last night!!

She has described Cassie as her 'Charlotte Church' If you look at her last night then perhaps you can see where Sharon is going, but it didn't work

You know, I watched Cassie doing Alfie and thought she did a fair job of it and that Simon was being mean. However, I then LISTENED to it without seeing her (was in the kitchen) and it suddenly hit me - OMG, Simon was BANG ON: it sounded exactly like a child auditioning for a musical. Bad choice of song - "Alfie" is a tricky number and IMO only Cilla has ever done it justice.

(Yes - CILLA - amazing but true)

Gawd...I LOVED cassie last night. I was blown away by her perfect, in tune (not that easy to come by these days) rendition of a song that I love. I listened again and again to it....loved it. Just beautiful.

I do agree, however, that there's something about Cassie that says 'theatre and musicals'. That may just be after last night.

Sharon needs to do something 'else' about Cassie's image or she's going to get the 'awwwww' vote from the grannies of the UK.

Have you heard Cilla doing that song, ZipG? It's bloody fabulous.

Cilla sounds SO nasal and unpleasant during that song-i much prefer the cher version used in the film

Do you mean the modern film? Haven't seen it, don't intend to see it. A more pointless remake, I can't imagine.

Nasal? Nahh!

Sharon and her stylists need to sort it out because i don't know what they were thinking when they done over Cassie, Her performance was great though.

I said exactly the same thing. She looked like she belonged in a Dickens novel. Her hair was terrible as was Robertas.

Rewind back further...70's. The 'do' was called the 'flick' and Farrah Fawcett made it famous.

I know we like to all appoint ourselves as makeup stylists who know better, and I'm no exception LOL, but I think they actually made one simple mistake. Cassie has a beautiful, pale porceline complexion. Her natural hair colour is what we like to call strawberry blonde, more commonly known as British mouse. The one great thing about having mouse coloured hair, is we can usually get away with going either way colour wise. I think though if she'd gone fairer, it would have been a much more delicate softer look for her. It might have worked if she'd had a more olivey complexion. I know what happened, you can bet they thought they already had Roberta as the glamorous blonde, so they might as well have brunette to balance things. She has a good thick head of hair, but the whole effect especially in that brushed forward style, just completely darkens and drowns her face.

you're probably right, but to a hormonal teen FFM epitomised the Californian beach girl. Think we may be straying off topic here but WTF

Yep...I'd have said go fair or dark. But they did the Cathy Dennis thing with her instead.

Yeah, lots of great singers (and Cilla ) have recorded a version of 'Alfie' such as Randy Crawford, Dionne Warwick and Ronald Isley. Most recently Joss Stone has done a version for the new Alfie film soundtrack but there's no getting away from the fact that its a poor song. Believe me, Cassie did a very good job with it.

Its obvious that Sharon's team got it completely wrong with Cassie this week but she still came out of it with alot of credit. What's so wrong with a young girl looking and sounding her age anyway? It would be a shame if Sharon's poor decisions stop Cassie from doing well in this competition.....
