I want to use a loop wire on my Humax, I know it connects from LNB 1 out to LNB 2 in.

Depends on how you first installed the box. If you installed with just a single cable on tuner 1 in then you just need to add the loop cable (it will think it's already there). If you installed with two cables easiest way is just do a reset to factory defaults.

Just in with a single cable, never seem to have the time to install a quad or duel lnb. One day maybe, the loop will have to do for now.
Always said once 5* and 5USA tuned up I'd get another cable plugged in, I will one day..

Once you have added the loop. Try starting an instant recording on BBC-HD, start a second on BBC1-HD.
Now try viewing and live pausing any of the following channels. Note for 103 and 119 you will have to have a postcode that puts the listed region at 103 and 119

At the moment I get ITV Wales on 103 and ITV HD (London) on 119. So you are saying I would need to use for example a Granada land post code to record/watch 103 and 119 at the same time. Or have I got the wrong end of the stick.
Both recording channels have to be in the same frequency band and polarisation.
ITV 1 Wales and ITV1-HD Granada are low band horizontal.
All the other HD channels are low band vertical.
