Has anyone had any problems over the last week or so recording programmes from C5 on their Freesat boxes? I've had some issues on my Humax HDR and a friend of mine has seen something similar on his Panasonic box. I wonder if it was anything to do with an email that I received from Freesat a short while ago regarding the move of C5 channels to Astra 1N?
My wife follows Grey's Anatomy on C5 and I have the programme series-linked on my Humax box. C5 has started re-running the series so that I end-up recording both repeats and new episodes from the same series -- no matter. Anyway, about a week ago, I noticed that the series link had dropped-out of the schedule, so I added it again. The box attempted to record the series (a repeat episode) yesterday, but all I got was a zero-byte length recording with a failed state of 'Unknown'. I've deleted the series link and re-added it, and the info. seems correct from the schedule data. I can certainly view channel 105 so fingers crossed that all will be OK on Tuesday AM when the next episode is due.
My friend with the Panasonic box had the series link correct for the programme that he wanted to record, but it didn't contain a channel number reference. He, like me has deleted the relevant series link and re-added it because nothing was being recorded.
If this is down to a channel move then why is it so badly broken? I thought that the Freesat specs. were supposed to cover this. Luckily, my old Freeview box has been recording Grey's Anatomy so SWMBO is not too unhappy with me!
Any thoughts, comments, suggestions etc. would be greatly appreciated. I've yet to do a factory reset on my Humax box, which my next thing to try if the next recording fails.
