Yeh home made businesses are annoying as are the people who dont seem to understand that not everyone lives in the same town as them. I keep getting sent requests and notices about little businesses the other end of the country because a friend has tagged me.

OK, so the princess has gone:

"After 4 days filled with garden centre, nature reserve, hair cut, shopping, surprisingly being able to make a snowman and walking in the snow, making Easter cards and cakes along with all the other normal play things am taking my little Princess home. My house will seem very strange without her."

So??????

Someone my mum knows makes some amazing cakes. They made an amazing cake for someone only for the person to say they couldn't collect as they lived in Glasgow, and the cake was in North Antrim - oops

I hate all those C&P updates with "99% of people won't repost this". Yeah, you're right. We won't. Because it's a bullshit platitude that achieves nothing except to make you look like a dumbass.

The worst are the ones showing pictures of sick children. Like if you want this child to survive. Ignore if you want this child to die. It's like those sick chain mails you used to get years ago.

Anyone who likes/shares/comments on things like this are immediately blocked. Do they not realise even commenting on them saying how 'propa sickkk' it is shares it on everyone's wall.

I know a guy who constantly updates, at least once a week to say he is in Costa with his wife. I just think, WHY?!

This might be controversial but hey.

I have someone on mine who was a teen mum. She joined a group for other teen mums and teen pregnancies and regulary comments on it. What shes started doing which really annoys me is encourages a lot of them to put pics on of their bumps when they are overdue. The last one she was encouraging her friend to take a pic and post it because the baby was due any day it could be her last chance to get a pic.

So i log onto fb today to be greeted by a large picture of some random pregnant girl with a bulging belly covered in dark purple stretchmarks. The picture obviously taken in her messy bedroom. And i get to see it because my friend commented on it.

Ive never had kids so obviously dont know what its like to be pregnant but i cant see the fascination with seeing strangers pregnant bellies? It looked awful all covered in stretch marks with the belly button popping out. Why on earth would anyone want the whole world to see that?

I'm sick to death of mums of toddlers going on about how hard they work and what great mums they are. Hello, women have been doing it for generations without the need to boast!

One person liked/shared an image that said "Sorry I've been a rubbish friend, I've been busy being a great Mom."

I'm sure she only does it for attention from her friends.
Deep down, that's why anyone posts on Facebook really!

That's what they have replaced. No one really emails people anymore, so all this crap has shifted from chain emails to chain facebook spam.

I see some things on FB I used to get in emails 10+ years ago. The best one recently is that on about an old racist lady on a plane where the black man she sits next to gets upgraded. I got that in an email in 2004. I knew it was a lie back then and it's still being posted on FB today, with thousand of comments giving support to the non-existent passenger and crew. Every time I read it I see a different airline in the story.

Another one which is doing the rounds right now and getting all the sheeple sharing it is about a woman who cooks dead babies (with pictures) and someone who got footprints of their dead baby cast in silver (also with pictures). Both have attracted thousands of likes and shares and all kinds of messages of support for these people they don't even know. What's the point in these things? 99% of them are total lies, why do people fall for it all?

The more I read these comments, the more I simply do not understand why people simply don't just remove themselves from FB altogether and rid themselves of attention seeking life-sucking imbeciles. Funnily enough, I don't have an account (never will) and yet I somehow manage to maintain a healthy balanced relationship with all my family and friends (and we all managed to do that before FB too....) whereby I don't need to know what they are doing, thinking, every day and vice versa. Do people believe that if they don't share in all this bollox they will end up cast into a wilderness where nobody will know they exist any more? Whatever happened to privacy for heavens sake for a start.

Same here.

I used to get it in the office, "aren't you on facebook?".
I'd reply "no", they'd look completely shocked and say "how do you keep in touch with friends?".

I'd say I'd phone them to chat, or actually meet them face to face in the coffee shop, pub or wherever we fancies meeting up.

Then, still shocked, they say "but but how do you share your photos?".

I'd say "what photos?". They'd leave me alone then.

Idiots, the lot of them. How do you keep in touch with friends? Is that a serious question?!

It's interesting they leave you alone when you ask "what photos". Why is that I wonder....

I've had two babies and the thought of having my baby bump photographed did not appeal to me!

Probably because they publish the same style photos on facebook after every weekend, of being out in the same old clubs. They think that people actually want to see that, or even want to take the photos in the first place.

Somebody I know a few weeks ago posted a comment "does anyone know if the buses are running from X to y today?". Instead of posting it on Facebook - why didn't they just bloody Google the bus company and timetables!! It's beyond me sometimes with people thinking Facebook is there to solve all of life's problems, when it makes things even more awkward!

I've also got friends who get majorly shocked about news stories that happen throughout the day that they don't get to hear about until the evening, (despite being on Facebook for most of the day, as it's the only website they go on), and then argue it couldn't have been a big news story, else they would have heard about it on Facebook!!!

Doh!

Doh!
Someone on mine joint the argos facebook page and wrote a post on there asking if there was x product available in the store in the town she lived in. She then replied to it specifying which of the stores in town she meant.

Come on, how difficult is it to go on argos website and check yourself? I couldnt believe she was expecting argos to do the looking for her! Although credit to them they did.
