This was the same girl who spent months whining about how she never had any money and how she was desperate for a job. She was lucky enough to apply for one (after months of ME showing her job adverts and her declining them because "they look shit" ) and getting an interview with New Look and getting the job. Meanwhile i'm still unemployed and living in hell right now because of it. I despise people who moan about having a job!!

Unfortunately that future is very much in full swing right now, as FB is capable of evidencing on a mass scale!!

A facebook friend of mine has just shared one of those "Share this or terrible events will befall you" things. I wouldn't normally mention it but this one is particularly mental:


It's obviously depressing that there are people who either believe this crap, or share it just because they have the voice of doubt inside their head whispering "But what if it is true?". That holds for all of these stupid statuses and the morons who share them. The thing that gets me about this particular one is that it's so thunderingly obvious that this mystical confluence of dates will occur in every year in which December 1st falls on a Saturday; or roughly every seven years.

They need help.

God yes, I get a lot of them. One lot comes from my cousin who did have a bit of hard life but is now sorting things out, he posts lots of that kind of crap and then comments things like "So true". The other is a friend who is, to be honest, a serial whiner. One status will be about how awful life is and why does everything bad happen to her, the next will be one of those crap inspirational quote pictures.

Not so much statuses but Facebook whores in general who spend most the times at parties with a camera in your face, solely to show people on facebook what a great time they are having.

If I wanted endless photos of myself on Facebook I would take photos myself

My cousin's boyfriend is always posting gushy 'love you princess xxxx' and 'anything for my princess xxx' posts to her and images with 'princess' in them. Ugh.

Couldnt agree more,also cant stand people on a night out you are trying to have a coversation with sitting updating status,s and not even bothering to actually listen or join in ,so bloody ignorant,it has come to the point now that certain people in our group are largely ignored and left to sit there tapping away about what a good night they are having,while the rest of us are having a ball round them without the need to tell the world.

One of the people I was referring to when they had finsihed shoving their phones in everyone's faces the spent the rest of the evening updating everyone else at the party on how many likes each photo had and what comments had been made and by whom. Clearly this is more exciting and interesting than having a chat about every day non-virtual things

I hate the inspirational messages along the lines of 'Life always get better' or 'What you truly believe in, will always come true". Because sometimes (and unfortunately) they are just not true.

I don't use any social networking sites and don't hang around with many people who do, but this sort of thing used to really anger me and make me pretty sad as well. So many people seem to be living their lives "virtually" as opposed to just getting on with it. Also, it's worrying how many people don't feel validated unless someone else has commented on whatever mundane nonsense they're up to, I mean who cares if you're "just off to the shops" or "having pasta for tea". It's ridiculous.

A few weeks ago I posted about someone who had gall bladder issues and gave her gall bladder a name. She now has a date for an operation on said gall bladder and is mentioning the exact date in every status (eg) "nervous about my op on January 28", "got to make sure the house is sorted before my op on January 28", "wonder who's going to come and see me after my op on January 28". Alright, we get the message and we'll remember to give you our sympathy on January 28!

Another girl who uploads literally hundreds of photos of her "little man" - including professional photoshoots every few months - posted on Christmas Eve something along the lines of "curled up and sharing a bottle of Bollinger with the hubby, don't mind if I do". Urrgh. She regularly posts pictures of her baby son in his high chair with food smeared all over his face and comments like "mucky pup" and "messy boy!". Does anybody really find that kind of thing cute? I think it's gross!!

Like all those people who end up in pain, are victims of crime etc etc. Or maybe there is no karma at all.

I feel like seeking them out at work and slapping the ones that post about Karma. But then why actually confrot someone when you can just post passive agressive comments on facebook and they'll never know for sure that they're pissing you off.
