Yes - for a primetime ITV1 debut it's probably a good role for Mark Wright - basically undergoing the challenges the wives are about to bet on that their other halves will face.
I agree Melanie Sykes is somewhat uninspired - but there is hardly a wealth of big female names around at the moment, and indeed the only one on ITV's pay role is Christine Bleakley, and to be fair this would probably be better for her than most of the one-off shows she's already done for ITV.
