I had 6.0m average on the RPG, maybe I can score 1 point as long as the slot average is <7.05m. It looks like a cracking night for BBC1.

Last night's Casualty averaged 5.6m.

#BBC1 was the highest rating channel for all but 30mins between 6am yesterday and close (01.45am today)

Not so good for Casualty given the weather, I wonder if the last 15 minutes of Take Me Out marginally beat it? Must have been close.

Super peak for the Rugby, though.

It's official! Mrs Brown's Boys was the highest rated show in peak time! This pleases me!

The rugby was the highest rated show of the day with 6.5m but Mrs Brown's Boys was highest rated in primetime. COME ON AGNES!

It was up against the Beckham interview which peaked at 5m. That's why Casualty was flat. I imagine the 30 mins ITV won was TV Burp against The Magicians. But that would mean TM beat TMO.

Either way, I think I was right to downplay the snow effect...

I bet it pleases Brendan even more, he must be delighted Puzzles me why there is so little in the papers about this show which is a huge success both for RTE and the BBC, you rarely see anything.

Nice to see that Sam Hodges and James Macleod have made up

James MacLeod
@Sam_Hodges What went wrong during that 30 minutes??

Sam Hodges
@jamesmacleod Pipped by 300k!

James MacLeod
@Sam_Hodges Sort it out!”

Magicians must have performed better than I expected.

The rugby aired till 7pm so it's a moot point. Either way it's a super figure, and the audience will clearly now follow the show around the schedules, even when it airs 30 mins into an ITV drama and has a sub 3m lead in. It's a confirmed smash hit show, and I hope gets a Saturday slot next year after a Xmas Night launch.

Agreed, but for tonight Call the Midwife should be above 9m.

Only because MacLeod has left ITV.

He must be rolling in the cash, the tour is massive and the DVD sales are huge. It was biggest selling tv DVD last year.

I wonder how the 6.55pm news did for BBC1, considering the snow and the 8.5m lead in? Snow usually means mammoth news ratings.

Could that bulletin actually have topped the night?

[EDIT, no he obviously failed to spot MBB going up by a million! Is this the slot it should have had all series (like I constantly pushed for... Fantastic figure]”

Monday night would be a perfectly good slot for MBB if The Royal Bodyguard had been half-way decent and not left Mrs Brown exposed against the ITV dramas.

It could have been far worse for MBB on Monday nights though given the lead-in. The BBCistas would be wise to remember that.

I can see it doing very well for the first episode given the hype around it. However, I can see it going downhill from there as I think it will be very similar to the x factor. I watched some clips of other shows on You Tube and it gets repetitive after a while, like x factor auditions.

BBC One schedule change - Derby vs Nottingham Forest from 12:05 to 14:30 is off, so expect some comedy repeats or the such like.

Was expecting Cash In The effing Attic and Escape To The effing Country.

Instead we've got.....

12.05 Country Winter Special
1.00 BBC News
1.30 Frozen Planet

I love a scheduler with a sense of humour.

I think it could do very well actually. If they tweak the format up a little, which I think they will. Given the names on the panel as well... Will.I.Am and Jessie J and Tom Jones for the oldies. It definitely beats the judging line up for BGT. However, it's success will always come down to the quality of the contestants.

Does anyone have the ratings for Take me Out last night? I thought it was really entertaining last night

And I find the second option more appealing.
