That's still good for Channel 5 factual though isn't it?

Wait till June.

Em often does well on Mondays. But it was still sub 8m when you strip out the repeat (as you have for EE), so EE comfortably in front.

It's okay. But the guy who made it said in his blog they were expecting closer to 2m, as was I.

It's hard to begrudge the competition though. I do think Coppers is a very well made programme. Protecting Our Children? Hmm, I guess the title pulls on the heartstrings a little more.

Change the record  this thread should come with a warning: will contain tedious +1 talk.

Corrie seems to be on a great run, another 10m+ audience.

ok, so folk should be able to make numptyish comments by massaging the data and let it go unchallenged?

I will never stop seeking to level the playing field on the +1 issue as long as folk on here keep falling into the trap, whether you think it tedious or not.

OK, with +1 stripped out, EE out-rated Emmerdale by just 0.6m. That's very close for a Monday night. Corrie continues its string of healthy ratings recently...and well deserved too - its really good at the moment IMO.

I didn't see The Diamond Queen beating Whitechapel if I'm honest and TDQ rated much higher than I expected. But as I said last week, as long as Whitechapel can stay above 5.5m, ITV should be happy with it.

Can we start stripping the commercial breaks out of the overnights whilst we're at it then to make it a level playing field in that sense?

the most watched prog of the year Eastenders has had its figured changed to 30.15 million (was previously 30.1 million)

I'm sure this is huge news for all of you on this thread

Not really.

If you came on here and told us you'd uploaded all the historic Top 30s from 1981 to 1998, now that would be something...

Also, aren't there some years when Eastenders is completely missing from the Top 10 of the year? I noticed it wasn't in the 1992 list I looked at last night for the Elizabeth R rating, and I'm sure that must be a mistake.

EastEnders has missed out on the Top 10 twice. 1990 and 1992.

Call The Midwife must be a phenomenon to get another RT cover during its series. And likewise with TV Times especially as My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding returns that week.

I'm surprised this is being so poorly received, I'm enjoying it. What are the ratings like? I doubt it'll be getting a second series now though.

I don't know much about it, but there is a certain irony to a show with that title scoring so low in the AI. Heh.

Nice robust AI score for Mission Afghanistan. I hope they didn't forget to tell their friends and family about it.

Quite concerning for EE I must say to only be 0.6m above ED. Yes, it will increase its lead tonight, but it should still be managing at least 9m on a Monday if ED can manage 8m and Corrie 10m.

the ratings are not that surprisingly however, they are starting to reflect the feelings fans have about the show at the moment.

Most reality TV hits get a lot of press coverage. Strictly in particular is a favourite of The Daily Mail (and The Daily Express). But you could hardly say that The Apprentice doesn't get much press. And rarely has a show been building media hype before it was even commissioned for the UK (The Voice).

The only ITV drama that gets a lot of press is Downton Abbey. While on BBC1, it's not as if Doctor Who lacks hype and press (even if it's not as much as it was a few years ago - they seemed to prefer David Tennant).

Then you've got to consider that not only is BBC1 a better platform for promoting shows they've also got the radio empire to promote on as well. BBC3 must benefit massively from the amount of trails on Radio 1.
