I'm surprised at some of these comments! I didn't notice any ugly, page 3 wannabe or bursting out of dress stuff. I think she's a very good presenter.

I think Kate's a brilliant presenter, she did really well!

I don't have ITV2 so before The X Factor i had never seen her. But my God what a harpy. She had no presence, charisma or anything in the slightest that makes a good presenter. They might as well have taken one of ITVs kids presenters and stuck them on the stage.

She is the one thing stopping the show being every bit as good as Pop Idol.

I think Kate did well under difficult circumstances. The audience were so hyped up that she had to resort to shouting 'and the next to go through is...' above the general uproar

However, I did sense that she was having to concentrate hard upon what the Producers were obviously shouting down her headset ('keep it moving, keep it moving, were running out of time!' etc.)

One bit which did suprise me was how she reacted when one of the judges said that they didnt want to have to choose between the final two groups, and Kate said something like 'Well, you're going to have to!'

and she was the youngest ever editor of Smash Hits....

I did like her dress and the theme of the flowers running up the dress and then in a very dainty way over her shoulder. Please do not knock the feminine way of dressing!

And, yes, you might have guessed that I like her.

hasn't kate done primetime saturday night itv1 before???...i thought she presented that thing "don't try this at home" or sumthing similar, did she not do that when davina left the programme???

-just looked it up, and it seems she presented it alongside davina, and i guess it wasnt live, but it was still itv1
