Like all twists on shows like this, it's purely to manipulate the outcome, whilst hyping the show, hoping it pulls in more ratings. Win/win for them.
Personally, I hate the twist, but I hate all twists, for the reason above. It just spoils the show for me.
I think it's very clear who will be saved, and who won't be.
However, I think Corey will go home, and would have gone home with or without this twist - so I'm happy the twist happened this week, rather than when an elimination was less clear. It softens the blow a bit.
Edit: I wonder if that's why they scored Chemmy so low this week? To justify putting her with Corey? Of course it is. All makes sense now.
