Panasonic DMR-HW100 - Wireless Network Connection

Has anyone connected this device to a wireless network with a device other than the Panasonic DY WL10 which is incredibly expensive? Panasonic tell me that this is the only option.

I have a Micronet LAN USB adaptor, but I am reluctant to try this in case it damages the equipment.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. - Thanks

The issue is driver compatibility (and profits

). Networkable devices aren't full computers. They have a limited scope in their small operating systems, so coping with a wide variety of network dongles is more hassle than it's worth.

Wireless isn't the only solution. Try home plugs or a wireless gaming adapter as way to get a network connection to the device.
