Apart from Sam Matterface, who I don't personally either like or dislike, I think the TS commentary team is very strong and I'm not surprised so many people now enjoy listening in ever greater numbers for live matches. I always enjoyed Alvin Martin and Nigel Pearson myself. Stan and Sam were OK as a pairing but I like Stan's co-commentaries so they too still work well. Andy Gray will also do a good insightful job too whoever he's paired with. The overall standard is so very high it's not much more than splitting hairs in reality but if I'd like to hear a bit more of Alvin if I'm forced to make a judgment. |

![]() The next England manager will be Harry Redknapp, I agree he is a good man manager, but I would go for Arsene Wenger ( Arsenal Fans want him out) the style of football he brings to the table could change England's fortunes. |

For me the combo of Jim Proudfoot (now ITV/ESPN/Absolute Radio) and Alvin Martin is the best talkSPORT have ever had but both Stan and Alvin have worked well with Jim, Nigel Pearson, Ian Danter and now Sam Matterface. Hopefully Andy Gray will find that instant chemistry with Sam and, should he work with them, Nigel and Ian too. |

If the last major competition (WC) was anything to go by, Capello didn't exactly set the world on fire and started talking about the euros almost immediately after our lacklustre exit. This time round I don't want a long term strategy that will set us up for the future, I just want to watch some footie that looks like they all want to play to win and go for it for once. I don't even care either if the manager is out the door a month later. |

Some joker on the Sports Bar just suggested Coyle, Holloway and Tony Adams as potential England managers. What's that all about?
Bobby G now suggesting Trevor Brooking. Before my time but has he even managed a club? |

Trevor had a very brief spell about 8-10 years ago, replacing Glenn Roeder for the last 5 or 6 games of the season when west ham got relegated. I think he went on record saying that management was definitely not for him.

I deliberately didn't want to say anything before the court case was finished but now it's over I know I am allowed to, I felt very strongly all along Harry Redknapp and Milan Mandaric would be found not guilty over the charges. I based it on two things, the first being the total lack of real evidence, the second being that Milan has paid over £100,000,000 in income tax since he came to this country and Harry has paid over £8,000,000, why would they then risk imprisonment over 80 grand? not to mention lose both their excellent reputations. This case has taken 5 years and cost the country what is it?, 8 million pounds, absolutely ridiculous. |

Mike Graham tweeted last night "coming up from 1am on Talksport.........How it takes one Italian to show this country the meaning of integrity" ... Yea and how it takes one Italian to show us how to milk £24 million from us for absolutely nothing Mr Graham.
also ... Mike Parry's tweeted "Fabio's ancestors ruled the world, but what have the Romans ever given us except Venice, Pinot, pizza, spaghetti, Ferrari and Sophia Lauren?." Hang on, I thought they'd given us the aqueduct?, I thought they'd given us sanitation? and the roads?, what about irrigation? and medicine? and education? and health?, and don't forget they gave us wine and public baths, oh and they made it safe to walk in the streets at night. Okay okay I can still hear some of you saying, ... All right... all right... but apart from better sanitation and medicine and education and irrigation and public health and roads and freshwater systems and baths and public order... what have the Romans done for us? ... well I'll tell you, ... they gave us Fabio Capello. ![]() ![]()

Was listening to radio 5 the other morning when George Riley the sports news presenter, said Novak Djokavic held a press conference in London and when asked if Andy Murray would ever win a Grand Slam, he replied "Yes, i'm sure he will one day, he gave me one of the toughest matches in the Australian Open".
I switched over to Talksport and Brazil said, "Chicken told me he saw Novak Djokavic, went up to him and Djokavic personally said to him, " I'm sure Andy Murray will win a Grand Slam one day, he gave me one of the toughest matches in the Australian Open". Thus proving yet again what we have all known for so long that Ronnie Irani, has been, still is and will be for the rest of his life the biggest liar in the history of mankind.

I couldn't give a monkies about England or its two-bit football team. When they poach Harry with Daniel Levy's blessing then Tottenham will go the same way. The only legitimate way for me for Harry to take the England job is when his contract runs out in about 18 month's time. Until then he is not available. If Levy sells out to England then I shall be finished with Tottenham too after 35 years...
