I agree with what most have said, I don't see why chemmy should take offense at all, it was clear what katarina meant and the fact she is not overweight in the slightest has made me question chemmy's reaction. On twitter she has said that she's proud of her body almost reacting as if it was a criticism by katarina. I think the whole thing is stupid and for chemmy to have said what she's said she is continuing to make something of NOTHING
You have selectively edited Chemmy's tweet there which is rather strange.

The full tweet from Chemmy is as follows - Let us not make a mountain out of a mole hill over the Katarina Witt comment.I am proud of my athletic body.It takes a lot of work!Fullstop

It seems her first sentence shows she is not making a big deal of it at all. Chemmy was disappointed on Sunday with her own performance more than anything else.

Anyone with an ounce of common sense would realise Katarina wasn't calling her fat or trying to insult her in any way. The things people get forced to apologise for are so ridiculous sometimes.
This ^^

It's obvious what she meant. She's not an anorexic stick-insect as some are, but a normal woman. She was merely pointing out the blooming obvious and giving a constructive criticism of how she could improve the routines without lifting. A vast difference from likening someone to "Fecal matter" and meaning it. She's the one judge I actually want to hear. I like the other judges, but her opinion is the most interesting this series.

I'm sorry she felt the need to apologise, but can see why she did. If you are on a reality tv show before judges, then you have to expect harsh comments along with the nice ones. IMO, all Katerina did was state a fact and then tell advise her how to improve her routines. That's her job, and unlike Jason she does it well and offers good, constructive advice. Some of the zelebs she knows aren't going to make it, but I think she expects great things from Chemmy so her comments were intended to help her achieve. She was doing her a big favour IMHO, and she wasn't actually being harsh.

All of the celebs that can be lifted with ease could frankly do with eating more pies. Skeletal is not attractive.

Apologies if u think I edited her tweet to suit my argument, I didn't have access to the tweet at the time and that was the bit I remembered and the bit I wanted to refer to anyway.

My opinion still stands when considering the whole tweet, it seems strange to say don't make a mountain of a mole hill, then continue to say what she said about being proud of her body... In my opinion the latter was said as if she had taken offense to her comment and again in my opinion probably incited even more discussion on twitter etc.

Also, I really liked chemmy the first week and I still admire her attitude to work hard and I think her skating is really quite good, but there is something about her, a vibe that I get which is stopping me from liking her.

As you said above, " In my opinion the latter was said as if she had taken offense to her comment and again in my opinion probably incited even more discussion on twitter etc. "

I don't think Chemmy did take it the wrong way, she just seemed upset about the lift. She seems nice enough to me!

Ridiculous to make her apologise. Demeaning when all she said was that Chemmy was bigger. Which she is. Stupid political correctness.
