Ok - forgive me - but did I read on this board somewhere that Craig was putting together some kind of tour? (not the currently live tour)

I have searched for the thread but no luck.....

Did I dream this

As we've heard no more about this since october, I suspect the plan has been shelved or postponed. CRH is doing the cruise tour from the end of May to July with 4 pros, though the proposed tour could be concluded before Mid May,

It's no more than a planned revival of the pro tour with Craig's involvement, but the Chorus Line reference is interesting. Something like a cross between the Chorus Line, Burn the floor and Midnight Tango could be great.

Darren tweeted that he is involved in some kind of tour this year. Could be related?

I think I'll wait and see who the Pro's are before I get excited! Nice idea if it is going to be a classy dance show with wonderful choreography doneby incredible dancers like the Pro Tour. If its going to be as the present series and tour I'll be giving that a miss too!

Same here. I would find it terribly hard to have to endure FFT though lol.

That's a good point actually. Craig isn't necessarily one for classic ballroom and latin routines. I don't really want to see my favourite pros engaged in prop faffery...

I don't think any of the judges or the pro dancers like the props. It seems to me this is something that the producers have introduced. On the tour there are no props apart from a chair and a couple of things for Nancy which actually add to the fun. All the other props have been discarded thank goodness.

The judges on SCD don't set the tone. They don't control the show or determine the direction in which it goes. The producers determine all of this and choose the judges.

I would imagine that any tour would be licensed from the main show so there would be a certain degree of control in order to maintain the 'brand'.

Fortunately the kind of audience live shows attract is different from the TV audience so there's less need to faff about and creating the 'faff' in the first place is quite time consuming and expensive and eats into any profit.
