Do we know why theyre delayed?

At least 10m for Corrie, I reckon with a peak of 12m.

MONDAY ratings: Corrie averaged 10.64m on the discovery Frank Foster’s body in factory Underworld - its second biggest audience of the year.

I think Mondays record the strongest ratings for the soaps, certianly for Corrie, and so it makes sense to have the big storylines then.

Emmerdale - 7.51m (34.5%)

Coronation Street - 7.30 - 10.01m (42.2%) & 10.64m (41.8%) for 8pm

EastEnders - 8pm - 8.12m (32.6%)

Not very good for EastEnders at all really. It got zero boost from Corrie and its share is terrible yet again. I sense changes coming soon if this continues.

Absolutley - EE is in the pits, that share is a disgrace.
Well done Corrie! it was brilliant last night!

Yeah, I know Corrie had a big storyline, but thats a huge difference between both shows and there is no comparison between them. I wanted the half an hour of EE to go super fast last night so Corrie would be back on.

Thoughts?

To make matters worse EastEnders is also down on last Mondays ratings. So is Emmerdale as well but EastEnders is the one that should be performing better. Its losing viewers pretty fast. If the BBC weren't questioning EEs performance before this they will be now.

Emmerdale's rating last was good, I mean they were 2% more than EE, someone at BBC must realise something is up.

I think so too. That is bad for EE on a Monday night in early March. I know CS had big eps but still to be 2.5m behind and that share is terrible. Come on Kirkwood get your finger out!!!

Same here. EE is really not in a good place right now. Corrie on the other hand, is on top form.

That share for EE is diabolical.
Was there a football match on last night, or just more people having barbacues?

For all PC faults you can't deny the ratings have shot up this year. Great Monday night rating for Corrie while Eastenders continues to slide, another teen episode too no wonder viewers are turning off.

Eastenders needs to shape up big time. Yes it might still be enjoyable and character interaction is better but it needs slow burning storylines but also exciting ones.

Corrie is really showing it up at the moment. It's not going to get any better unless they do something about it. Being 2million behind Corrie is quite bad even if they did have a big episode.

I'm a big fan of EE and I'm writing this.

The BBC will be closely watching the upcoming Heather storyline. I would say that if it fails to lift the show above 9 million then the BBC will consider some serious action. It could be BK's last major storyline. Heather is a minor character compared to many others on EE, and I don't think that this storyline will give it the boost that it is hoped for. Yes the actual episode will get some extra viewers, but the overall pacing, plotting and character interaction is abysmal, and within days the show will be plodding in circles with Max looking to hump someone close to his age this time.

Everyday episodes seem to wander along with way too much of the teenagers on screen and little much else going on. The BBC should stop with this Red button extra thing. They did it with Amira and now Phil. I would understand if the episodes were not able to accomodate these extras, but the show actually needs them. A few scenes inserted every couple of episodes rather than just lumped on the red button - I feel, would have given the show a little more consistency. A few bits of Phil in prison would at least give us a distraction from the Moons and the god awful Whitney (yes I know she is popular somewhere).

Sorry for the rant.

I agree. There's just no life to EE at all, it's just plodding along with virtually no big storylines combined with a major teen overload.

The question needs to be asked...as license fee payers, shouldn't we be expecting 'top quality' from EastEnders all year round, not just two or three times a year?

If EastEnders isn't doing 'top quality' all year round, why not? What needs to be done to make sure that licence fee payers are getting 'top quality' from EastEnders all year round?
