Yes the actual episode will get some extra viewers, but the overall pacing, plotting and character interaction is abysmal, and within days the show will be plodding in circles with Max looking to hump someone close to his age this time.
Everyday episodes seem to wander along with way too much of the teenagers on screen and little much else going on. The BBC should stop with this Red button extra thing. They did it with Amira and now Phil. I would understand if the episodes were not able to accomodate these extras, but the show actually needs them. A few scenes inserted every couple of episodes rather than just lumped on the red button - I feel, would have given the show a little more consistency. A few bits of Phil in prison would at least give us a distraction from the Moons and the god awful Whitney (yes I know she is popular somewhere).
Sorry for the rant.”
The question needs to be asked...as license fee payers, shouldn't we be expecting 'top quality' from
EastEnders all year round, not just two or three times a year?
If
EastEnders isn't doing 'top quality' all year round, why not? What needs to be done to make sure that licence fee payers
are getting 'top quality' from
EastEnders all year round?
