I know. I was having a bit of a giggle with you. I couldn't resist.
![]() I have to say, I haven't tuned in at all, A) because I knew what was going to happen and B) I have been let down too many times in recent years by EastEnders. I have been promised so much, yet things haven't been delivered...in my opinion. I suspect the majority of viewers have cottoned on to. Watch when they know it is going to be 'exciting' (if you can be bothered)...and post the 'excitement', duck out again. Production needs to change that perception. |

Blimey, would you take a look at how high EastEnders' ratings were in 2006!
27/3/2006: 9.8m (43%) 28/3/2006: 10m (46%) 30/3/2006: 9.7m (46%) 31/3/2006: 10.2m (48%) Get Johnny Week, this. And they were considered extremely low at the time! Those figures would be beyond brilliant today. |

I LOVED Get Johnny Week. Great fun, the Mitchell brothers back together and that ghastly pink shirt Johnny Allen wore!

As most people will say, 2006 was not great, really...but it did have some really good bits to it. Get Johnny Week was a personal favourite of mine, too.
![]() Can you jog my memory a bit about 2006, Doc? I don't recall much about it!

Can you jog my memory a bit about 2006, Doc? I don't recall much about it! ![]() Sonia/Naomi Ruby/Juley Grant/Jane Grant's exit Ben hurting Freddie Little Mo's exit Rosie and Demi's exit, with Keith throwing a plate at the door! ![]() Sharon's exit Ruby's overdose Ruby's mugging Juley's exit Billy/Honey/Janet Down's syndrome Arrival of Brannings/Foxes/Wicks Pauline's exit Get Johnmy Week Ian and Dawn's fake wedding Sean's arrival Pat/Patrick Audrey/Aubrey Johnny's heart attack and death Jake's exit Ruby and Stacey lying to Jean about Sean Ruby's (emotional) exit Ian and Jane's wedding Top of my head. So A LOT happened this year and although most of it wasn't very appealing, you did genuinelly get some really interesting storylines to hold your interest. I'd much rather sit down and watch any of 2006 than the crap we have now...although I've really enjoyed the past week.

Yeah I seem to remember most of that - a pretty good year I reckon! I remember what an absolute breath of fresh air the Brannings were back then; hard to imagine now!

I didn't really like quite a lot if 2006, but quite a bit of it was really nice. As bad as it got at times, still beats this era by a country mile (IMO).

ITV1 19:00- Emmerdale: 6.14m (33.9%) , +1: 211k (1.0%) That is an appalling figure for Emmerdale. Still, maybe that's what it will take to get Blackburn out.

Fair City peaked at 524000 with their Tuesday episode for week ending March 10th. 521000 and 516000 for the Sunday and Wednesday episodes. Fell on the Thursday, to under 430000 probably due to clashing with Emmerdale

With respect, Dr. B, I don't see what you're trying to prove? It's just a load of statistics without a context.

correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't that really bad for ED considering a major character was leaving?
