Well, I only watch Corrie when it has a big storyline going on, so I don't usuall care about its ratings. And more people would've been out last year, I'm afraid. If rzt, one of the most ratings-wise intelligent and respectable members on here can tell you those figures are no good, they're no good. Under 7m ib April is unacceptable and completely unjustifable. Pity, as the quality of the show's been so good lately (IMO).

I didn't say it wasn't... but I did say Corrie got that last year and look at it now. As in all shows have blips. Also worth noting EE got 8.19 last night. A much better rating and not far off corrie... so it probably proves people were out on Friday... And back in last night ready to go back to work today... In fact it would be interested to know how many people caught up with Friday's episode on Sunday... The day to stay in and eat chocolate

Haha. To be fair, Monday's ratings do seem better for EE. It's just the share.

The soaps ALWAYS bounce back an episode or 2 later.
The share isn't brilliant but the shares for all soaps were lower than usual last night with Emmerdale under 30% but it was a bank holiday and im sure people were doing other things.

It wasn't on Sunday! The Omnibus is now Friday Nights/Saturday Morning and Good Friday saw the first edition of this http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/eastender...as-moved.shtml

EastEnders Omnibus in its new timeslot (23.30-01.25) got: 477k (7.2%).

Fair City peaked at 501k (wednesday episode) for week ended March 18th. Thursdays episode again the only one to disappoint in the ratings

Emmerdale's ratings are pretty poor lately, and I'm not surpsrised - it's awful right now

How does that compare to what it was getting on Sundays, though?

What were Thursday's ratings? I'd say 500k is pretty comparable to Corrie and Enders in terms of the population: viewers ratio.

They were under 417k. I can only find the top 10 for the week

Thursdays always clash with Emmerdale, may account in some small part for it.

Seems unlikely judging by that top ten - Fair City rated 417k on Sunday with basically no competition. The ratings overall seem pretty steady.

That's well jarged up, innit? Why the hell do they think that people would stay up until silly hours watching a soap?

To be fair, Cit, Emmerdale's ratings are fine. This time three years ago, 5.7m would be more applicable than its current ratings.

Glad EE recovered from last Friday.

I also think ED's ratings aren't great, but that's just my opinion.

But I'm pretty sure Emmerdale regularly enjoys a 35% audience share, but it was just 29 on Monday. Occasionally ratings dip below 7 million, but this is now happening regularly.

In 2008/9, it was usually 5/6m and a 30% share. The current figures aren't great, but they're fine in comparison to previous years.

As long as it gets over 7million, and beats ED (which it currently is), then the show's status is fine, IMO.

EastEnders is fine. 7.7m-ish has been typical for April since about 2009. Could be a lot, lot higher, but that's fine for now.

Nothing to write home about though ay.

What we will all be interested in is the Summer season. Could it rate lower than 6m? Could it get it's lowest figures ever? It will be fascinating.

It got 4.3m against Britain's Got Talent in 2010, I can't see it going that low, I think it went lower in 2004/2006 against a big Emmerdale episode

EastEnders lowest episode since July 7 2009

...and only 20% audience share I notice. Wow!

Well it got under 6 million against Emmerdale earlier in the year didn't it...so anything is possible.

I had to ROFL when I noticed that low-rated EE episode was BK's first!

But I can't believe Emmerdale was that day's most-watched episode - 5.67m viewers! But a whopping 35% audience share!

And with Hollyoaks getting it's worst ratings ever at 640k, was Friday 4th June 2010 soap's biggest ever Black Friday?

, I don't know. Corrie only aired Monday and Tuesday because they couldn't air Tony shooting someone after Derrick Bird went on the rampage in Cumbria

Now, now...but to be fair, 2010 was dreadful for EastEnders to though...wasn't it...in terms of quality...post the LiVE...in my opinion.
