Oh what figures of 9/10/11million? Something EastEnders ended 2011 on and srarted 2012 with. Nothing worse then someone making childush little comments without getting the facts right first. So what Corrie and EastEnderd is below 8m 5
Thats nothing new for April and when repeats and officials are taken into account they rise. Will Stictly/BGT ect be around to see their 20th birthday? NO is the likely answer

EastEnders could possibly fall below 7 million tonight with a BIG Champions League semi-final game tonight which has had a lot of hype over the weekend and has even been trending on Twitter ALL Day

The BBC3 repeat could be up depending on if the game is over by then or not.

Corrie at 8:30 could also be dented aswell but maybe not as bad as Enders given the slightly younger Demo and going by past Big Football Matches.

Whille im at it.

Next week could see Low EastEnders all around
with BGT got head to head with it all week (Except Friday)

On Monday EastEnders moves out of it's slot at airs at 7:30PM

As seen from 2010 and 2011 EastEnders (and all of BBC1/Ch4/Five ect) get Dented quite heavily by BGT Final week
so don't look surprised to see Emmerdale as number 2 rated soap (Monday-Thursday) and corrie to come out possibly over 10 million given it's already being advertised on ITV1 and airs 9:00pm (Monday-Thursday)

Just to correct you it's not a champions league semi final match but it's a premier league match. I think it will still dent the soaps though.

Coronation Street and EastEnders remained close in the Thursday night soap ratings yesterday evening (May 3), overnight figures show.

Emmerdale and Doctors rated fairly averagely but yes, the rest performed pretty poorly.

Doctors is below what it usually is in both share and figure. That 8:00PM Emmerdale rating is poor
EastEnders and Corrie are neck and neck again and around the same rating as last Thursday.

There was football wasn't there? which could be the reason Corrie and EastEnders were a little lower again and the poor 28% Emmerdale share at 8

Interesting Home & Away numbers yesterday, well over 1.4m across the two showings. Highest in a very long time, ahead of Hollyoaks and not far off Neighbours.

I think EE held up well in the circumstances. Out of its normal slot it was always going to be down, and with the BGT competition as well I don't think they could have expected much more. Got a feeling tonights will be lower though, considering how awful last nights was.

Not the best start for Corrie's 'big week', but that's because IMO it's not a big week. It's only being advertised as that, because of BGT. Pretty much in line with how Monday episodes normally rate. I really don't know why they continue with this Corrie/BGT sandwich scheduling, when Corrie doesn't really get much of a boost. The only reason it has been boosted slightly for the last 2 years was due to the 'deaths' of two big villains, more than the BGT factor I reckon.

EastEnders held up well last night against BGT much better than when Corrie faced competition.

I think it will timshift well as it has been timshifting 1million viewers and beating Corrie in officials.

As an Enders fan it pains me to say this but it has been quite some time since it was beating Corrie in the officials, dont forget when looking at the figures on the BARB site that approx another 600-700K watch Corrie in HD which isnt added to the ITV1 figures the way the BBC HD ratings is.

There is interesting times ahead for the Australian soaps. Neighbours is unlikely to make 1m again till Winter, and even then it may struggle. I think that's Home & Away's lowest ever 6pm rating with normal competition, and to hit that on an average day in May is worrying. It doesn't help that the show is in poor form atm. The thing is the 5* ratings are holding up perfectly well and haven't really dropped over the last couple of years, despite facing Hollyoaks on C4. If ratings continue to stabilise around the 0.6m mark on Ch5, then I wouldn't be surprised to see the 6pm showing completely removed from Ch5 and shown exclusively on 5*. This would give the digital channel a big boost. Also Neighbours could be moved half an hour later, which would arguably be a better slot for it. The daytime schedule could easily be moved half an hour later with extended films, which perform well for the channel.

i agree ee is holding up well against bgt, i thought corrie would have rated slightly higher, but i think we corrie fans prefer an earlier start. at least from fri we are back to normal.

bgt talents ratings for tues were on the low side, perhaps we are gettin fed up of the constant ad breaks, one act, one ad. much better to start watching at 8pm and fast forward through the ads.

if richard desmond wasnt tied to the deals for neighbours and h & a , it may be a different story.

i dont see either show going any time soon, but its a shame neighbours left aunty, i think it would be rating over 2 million for the tea time ep.
