Wow, pretty abysmal ratings for Emmerdale there. I'm not entirely shocked either, Its in pretty awful shape at the moment. I love ED but theres nothing aside from the Sarah/Debbie and Secretly pregnant woman story intresting me. Its very stuck in a lull at the moment imo..

I wonder when the Papers will give Emmerdale some 'Crisis' headlines? Corrie had them last year and EastEnders had them this year. The Fact EastEnders ratings have gone up says it all really.

Emmerdale does look like it will fall below 6m however

I think Emmerdale will go under 6 million over the Summer and EastEnders under 5 when it moves to BBC2.

it will all depend on how team GB does in the olympics, if we are getting lots of medals then possibly, but ee held up very well against bgt pulling in well over 5 million and one ep over 6. if anything it will make bbc2's share very healthy. how will the northern soaps fair?

I think EastEnders will rate 4.5-5m on BBC2(maybe higher) it's been performing well these past few weeks and of course it performed well against BGT. Not everyone is interested in the Olympics also

Relatively speaking not a bad start to the week for Neighbours but it's all downhill from here given the weather.

Hollyoaks still struggling badly I see with the lowest audience share of all the soaps.

EE has had a good week .

Is EE moving to BBC2 for the whole of the olympics?
Yes,EastEnders & Holby City are moving to BBC2
a couple of other BBC1 programes are moving over too but others will be 'Rested' (Including The one show and Casualty)

Emmerdale and EastEnders not looking good there
This is going to be where the soaps will be for a whille (possibly lower)
It's pretty warm and sunny so of course people will head outside and enjoy the 'HeatWave' before it rains again
So Neighbours/Doctors/Home & Away will suffer as they go out at Lunchtime/teatime.
Hollyoaks and EastEnders skew quite young Demo's so it's possible their younger viewers are out doing whatever.
Emmerdale is on at 7 and i expect corries 7:30PM to be lower than the 8:30Pm showings in weeks to come.

Of course EastEnders,Emmerdale,Corrie will be in Different slots over the next month ot so with the Euro games and Of course EastEnders will also be on BBC2 during the Olympics so i fully expect these ratings will be the norm untill September

Well it didn't effect Corrie's ratings clutching at straws springs to mind. Awful rating for Eastenders I started watching it again others seem to be sick of the sight of it, hence why viewers are turning off not because of the sunny weather excuse.

What Total Crap. EastEnders and Corrie were neck in neck last week
and of course Thursday Enders was slightly ahead.

The fact that More people have been enjoying EastEnders of late proves your statement 'hence why viewers are turning off not' doesn't prove true.

We could also go back to 2 weeks before now when EastEnders infact grew it's figures up right across the week
and up on the past 2 years when clashing against BGT

Looking at the programes against the soaps yesterday The 'Filler' shows rated better against EastEnders than they of corrie

2.33m (10%) Panorama (8:30pm)
Chelsea Flower show at almost 3 million at 8:00PM ON BBC2
and The Dales had 3 million and 13% on ITV1 at 8:00pm

It's no big deal anyway because this is nothing new for May

The Warmer Weather seems to affect EastEnders more than corrie and it's pretty much been like this for year. The fact EastEnders has more Younger viewers is a sign on this.

Also Corrie comes out above EastEnders on Most Bank Holidays/Halloween ect....It's only at Xmas or when EastEnders has a huge storyline does it come out top on Bank Holidays
