To be fair, it's only moved to BBC 2, it's not as if it's on Al-Jazeera!

Bitter ex-fan! Seriously though, what is there apart from the repetitive and unimaginative Kirsty plot?

I have been wondering that for several weeks but maybe it's because Corrie is the best of a bad bunch and Gloria is bound to give it a boost.

Eastenders has gone back to the Kat affair story line:yawn::sleep: oh and bed bugs

Emmerdale is annoying most of the time. Chas's affair  What the hell is happening to anyone who dares to cause problems for Marlon and Laurel?

Have you heard what happens to Paddy in the next few weeks? Ridiculous.

Agreed. I heard that Rhona takes Leo to NZ, while Paddy and Marlon fight (but they just couldn't leave it at that) Of course it has to be Paddy who then assaults a police officer

Madness.

I think that's a bit harsh, Cit. A domestic abuse sl where the male is the abused is hardly something you see on soaps every day, and 'repetitive'? They could hardly start and finish such a sl in a week could they? Of course it's a slow-burner, just like in real life.

I think most Corrie fans are avidly waiting to see how things progress once the baby comes, and when Kirsty's abusive father and her downtrodden mother return to the Street. I am anyway.

The plot itself is a copy of one used in the Irish soap Fair City in 2011, so I wouldn't call it original, no. And even if it was, being original doesn't automatically make you great. Adolf Hitler, for example.

I respect that it's a slow-burner but as I say, it's just not being done with any imagination or flair. Charlie's psychological abuse of Shelley all those years ago for example, was infinitely more compeling. Kirsty as well (for me at least) is just completely unlikeable and one-dimensional. She came in vile and has been vile ever since. It doesn't help that it's Tyrone being abused either - he's hardly a fan favourite. I also feel not only that it's an overexposed plot (they should have made it centre stage once the baby was born, rather than one repetitive, unpleasant scene repeating itself over and over again), and in my view, a plot like this feels out of place in Corrie.

Anyway, that's more than enough of my moaning!

Aaaaaghhh!!! Godwin's Law.

And I didn't say it was original, I said it's not something you see every day, (specially if you're not one of the 14 people that watch Fair City).

Two very solid figures there for Corrie. It should be hitting the 9 million mark in a few weeks time.

EastEnders rated well at 8:00pm given the unusual Comp from ITV1 with Paul O Grady and the Dog show which pulled in quite a high figure and Share (also up 700k on last Monday)

Doctors rating about the same as it does during summer at 1:40pm. The episode still went out 45 mins later than billed at 4:45pm.

The 3 main soaps are up on past weeks and we should start to see them rise within the next few weeks.
