Those figures are largely in line with a recent Guardian article about EE, which states that 10% of the audience have switched it off. The Corrie fall (10'000) is as good as zero in statistical terms. But the BBC clearly don't give a monkeys about EE anymore. Depressing!

Will they have Corrie in a BGT sandwich with a huge storyline during BGT semi-final week?

Friday's soap ratings:

Emmerdale: 6.10m (33.3%) / 6.23m (34.0%)
Corrie (19:30): 7.70m (38.2%) / 7.87m (39.0%)
Corrie (20:30): 7.32m (33.0%) / 7.56m (34.1%)

EastEnders: 6.47m (30.4%), BBC3: 414k (2.7%)

Those figures for EastEnders are quite worrying. I thought that bringing back old characters like Sharon would help boost the show but it doesn't appear to have worked at all.

Crikey!

Oh well, I suppose people who regularly watch soaps will catch up later anyway, but personally, I always prefer to watch ED and Corrie live and record anything else for later.

That 4.7m is pretty awful but let's not forget that 2010 had 4.3m...

I dunno
Lets look at the facts

Friday
7:30
Half Term (for most)
Hot Sunny Evening
Against BGT

I knew Friday would be the lower one of the week but unsure how it would rate (or indeed the week)

EastEnders has performed very well this week despite the strong comp and shows EastEnders will hold up well.
I can't see there being a rating lower than 4.7 this year when you consider all the facts.

All the people that swore EastEnders would get ALL TIME Lows this week are (as predicted) no where to be seen.
It just wasn't going to happen at all.

The BBC 3 repeats performed well but I think it's time they moved back to 10

The Officials will be interesting I think as it's clear people will have recorded via SKY+ ect.

I thought EE might sink to a new low this week but glad it held up quite well. Still wish the material we were getting was of higher quality though.

May overnight averages for the Big Three:

Corrie: 7.84m
down 80k yoy
down 400k on 2011
down 280k on 2010

EastEnders: 6.23m (6.6m minus clashes)
down 730k yoy
down 1.74m on 2011
down 1.44m on 2010

Emmerdale: 6.33m
up 170k yoy
down 360k on 2011
down 70k on 2010

Overnight average for the year (Jan-May)

Corrie: 8.64m
down 20k yoy

EastEnders: 7.29m

Emmerdale had the best May (yoy) but Corrie is having the best year out of the Big Three.

The only reason Emmerdale only pulled 5.05 was due to a technical fault on ITV, so it would of trounced EE otherwise. You would think the producers on EE would start and turn the show around now

Yah keep thinking that it would hardly trounce it as it was transmitted fine on freeview which alot people use now, hence the 5mil figure.

See these look alot healthy then the overnights. Maybe it is the weather playing a big part in the low ratings. Although I admit the snake thing is a bit silly.

See people don't look at these figures they just see the overnights and slate it. Perhaps if they did they would actually see that EE still beats ED by some margin.

Corrie's ratings are very strong as usual.

EE It seems the viewers exodus has stopped for now. No clashes with ED probably helped.

ED is gaining viewers each month. Soon the show's ratings will be up yoy.

EastEnders: 5.57m (26.3%) - it had a 13 million lead-in.

Coronation Street: 5.7m (28.6%) and 5.1m (22.3%) (including +1) - respectable considering it was up against around 11m on BBC1 at the time (the second episode).
